I couldnt call plays midway through the 2nd quarter
My controller worked, I could bring up the xbox button or pause the game, but my playcall screen was unresponsive
I got 3 delay games and got kicked out
Immediately back in the menus, everything worked fine

Has anyone ever has this happen? Its like EA the servers werent recognizing my controller input?
I did have on crossplay and was against a Playstation opponent, so maybe I have to turn off cross play?

I've had weird stuff happen in game that seemed to relate to latency. I don't think I've had occur what you experienced to that degree.

Happened to me yesterday. Was beating someone 21-0 in ranked and then this happened. Lost so many pts
I’ve had this happen to me a couple times. Did you try to turn your controller off and then back on? I use a wired controller and once I unplugged it and then plugged it back in I was able to pick my play.

This is worth giving a shot. It's become abundantly clear that when EA tweaked the user interface this year, they didn't always remember to close their subroutines.

If it happens again unplug or turn off your controller and turn it back on and you should be able to pick a play.

No, i panicked and kept spamming buttons

I occasionly also get buttons not working in game
Ill hit a button to pass to a WR and my QB wont throw the ball for some reason
Happens like once every 10 games
Ive had something similar happen in the 4th quarter I couldnt choose a play couldnt switch formations nothing but once I was out of the play calling screen everything worked fine happened the entire drive i was pissed.
This is unacceptable!
Madden is the only game I get button lag or buttons not working
Its definitely the Madden servers as I can still hit the xbox center button, but its like my controller cant communicate with Madden in game

Madden has had server issues all year
try pressing the right stick/right bumper to see if it responds or pressing b or circle on playstation. anytime i go make a safety depth adjustment or otherwise within the coaching menu and go back to play select it doesnt respond unless i click right stick in to bring a diff screen up
