I do know that if I just go darkside and start doing all of the terrible NPE stuff I complain about, it would probably solve the problem. I might not dominate on Ranked or Gauntlet, but I'd probably string together wins when I can get a series of games against guys not as committed to "winning" as I apparently would be in that hypothetical scenario.
Try getting taller DBs maybe or guys with higher acceleration. I don't like Dawkins and Jenkins at all. I'm using Fuller and McKinney with 20 giants team chem so they get a speed boost. I never get beat over the top

Actually, that one I don't hold against him, because I made a completely different point. The patches fix some things. The problem is that the workarounds come out a bit later, and guys like me are back to learning how to play MUT against degenerate gamers.

This game has absolutely gone to trash for NMS players that mistimed the market. I didn't do anything foolish. I just grabbed the wrong items at the worst possible time.
Awful, awful model for a game. MUT 25 has been an absolute disappointment. I spent coins working around terrible AI, and now I don't have the coins to keep up with the cheat plays everyone is running with high-end players that are unstoppable for my 96 OVR team.
On the bright side, whatever players are good now will be passed up in the near future.
Ultimate Legends, Sugar Rush, ROH, TOTY, Rookie Premiers should all be better than what is being used now or EA wouldn't sell an packs or make as much money.

I do tire of the grind. For what? More cheese? I could save myself a lot of trouble.
And I'm sure there are plenty of people that would say that's the right thing to do at this point.
Just frustrating to spend money on a game and watch it get corrupted by the players and have that amplified by EA.
I just want a football game that plays like a football game. It's not asking for much.

Anyone else running into issues where nose tackles are just being ignored by centers and giving up insta-sacks? I just had it happen twice over two drives, one of which forced a fumble. Not a shed, just going in untouched.

I agree with you 100% about the game being terrible for NMS players! It is way harder to field a NMS competitive team unless you are playing all day, every day and working the auction house aggressively and playing Head to Head and winning.
I have been playing more Franchise because EA removed the Comp Field Pass, and made rewards for Solo play useless. All of the major promotions are riddled with BND rewards that can not be used in sets for better players. They are slow rolling Team Captain upgrades. They are slow rolling strategy item sets. They are making more sets require cards from the current promotion rather than cards you may have in your binder.
I was only able to get one new Steeler in the last month (Mel Blount) because all the rest are LTDs or rewards for Head to Head (Minka, James Harrison, Mean Joe, TJ Watt, Edmunds, Darnell Washington, Vick). It is ridiculous how all of the best players are being held for ransom.
It would be nice if there was a Franchise Ultimate Team, where you could build a team of all the greatest players. Ultimate team does not seem like "Ultimate" team to me. When there are backups who have done very little and unproven rookies that have player items in this mode that are better than some of the greatest players of all time. Nothing against Josh Dobbs, but he should not be the best Steeler QB in the game. What is Ultimate about that?
