It doesn’t cover everything. Universal coverage will cover the ko’s but not the reaction time. IMO the reaction time is probably more important than the ko part.
I haven’t used it in MUT26 but in previous years it was all zone and man KO’s and reactions, with tighter coverage.
I tested it in MUT25 along with some of the other x-factors:

This deserves a pin or its own article on the site. Just reread and noticed 2 things I hadn’t before that are very interesting:
1. Route tech counters it. Amazing.
2. Shutdown includes better break on ball? That’s fantastic (though I guess it would matter more in zone anyway). I saw somewhere that OSA (part of shutdown) will allow your dudes in man to undercut routes more frequently so nice to see it being proved in your testing

Just keep in mind a lot has changed this year with abilities. Route Tech may not be as effective against Universal Coverage this year since abilities don’t light up every time anymore. I’ve had Rice with 0AP Route Tech for a while and sometimes he torches the DB other times he’s completely locked down.
