Is 5 mil enough for rp?
Nobody knows. Past few years its been about 8-12 mil.
During MUT 23, components for Rookie Premiere would be bought out at over 200% of minimum. I didn’t get a good read on the actual costs last year, as I had more than enough to buy what I needed to complete the sets.
It’s impossible to know what it will cost until we know what is needed to complete the sets. I’m prebuying certain items with OVR’s between 88-95. I haven’t opened any Field Pass-awarded packs since the beginning of Season 7, and my intent is to choose the pack that will yield the desired number of necessary items in the target OVR ranges.
I’m saving about 5 million coins as a hedge against guessing wrong for the stuff I’ve already bought. As of now, I’ve got over 70% of the component items needed from either MUT 24 or MUT 23. I’m up against the stupid 1,200 items limit and 250 unopened packs limits too.

This guy ^ knows what he is doing and I LOVE IT. My first year playing MUT and I wish I had the foresight to save packs.
I have about 10m coins and saved some 88-96 player cards. Should I hold the 96's also??? I see you go from 88-95.
I never pre buy and every year I am able to do every RP and actually make coins. The market always has opportunities to make coins so it's never an issue.
I would say if you have 5M, you'll have enough to do the right moves to complete everything needed as long as you can be patient and not overpay.
They want our time more than our coins so you can bank on needing to complete a field pass for all rewards through end of game cycle.

There's no reason to dump the 96's for less than 125k, and in fact there are definitely scenarios where having a number of 96's and 97's would be helpful. There's no real guarantee I'm even buying the right ones. However, I run the math on Rookie Premiere this way:
My time is valuable: I've already spent far too much time on this game just trying to get in pole position for MUT 26. I spent a lot of time in MUT 23 trying to get just seven Rookie Premiere items (I started playing in March or April, and had no idea what I was doing). I spent less time in MUT 24, but I didn't have a stockpile of appropriate items after spending so much energy on building Team Diamonds sets, which were composed of items having 88 OVR or less, and the market prices for components was high at every level; sniping was tough.
25x89's = 1x95: At 1,739 coins each, the biggest disincentive for stocking up on 89 OVR items is not having room in the binder, as even the single 95 OVR you'll make is a drop in the bucket. But built from 89's, you can assemble a 95 OVR item at a total cost of 43,475, which is about 9,000 coins less than 95's bought at 200% of minimum (although admittedly a lot more trouble). From 89's I can build 91's (four-for-one exchange on available sets) at 1,500 less than a 91 OVR at 200% of minimum, and 92's (five-for-one exchange on 92 OVR AKA Icons Elite) at 5,000 less than a 92 OVR at 200% of minimum. Keep in mind that items of some OVR's don't convert readily except through specific set items, so if you buy 93 Redux items and you ultimately can't use them, you'll need some 91 OVR TOTY's to make those 93's useful as a 95, or perhaps some Reel Deals 95's to convert those same Redux items to 97 OVR items (if even those prove to be component items). The point is to buy items at minimums with a viable pathway to make them whatever you might need to complete the sets.
I hope this helps. I tried to keep things simple without actually promoting the pre-purchase of any one class of items, as I really have no idea what to expect from EA. They could ask for items from specific sets as they have before, or they could ask for items spanning many different and disparate OVR's. Further, paths that don't currently exist to convert items to viable component items could open up with the likely concurrent release of Redzone Royale. For these reasons, I strategize pre-building in this scenario the same way I handle market investing: Diversification of risk through different asset classes.

besides no LTD they’ve been actually decent for me
Just get as much as you can, to make coin id invest tonight/tommorow in 98/99 for min and sell when the TVP is there (preferably 98’s since I don’t think that pack that guarantees a 99 is going away)
There usually is a way to get RP’s for cheaper then auction house
No one knows how much exactly yet

I completely agree with this. It is almost too easy to make coin in this promotion. Last year I barely had a million coins going into RP and basically was able to get every piece in it. EA definitely changes over time what is required to make the sets so definitely would avoid quick selling anything at this point unless you are desperate for the training. Good time to also buy any cards cheap from 85-97. Last year I was able to get 2 of the cards from doing the 96 cards into a random 98-99 set. Not sure if just lucky, but I think EA does make the odds a little better at end of the year, so save the 96’s for this purpose (I have).
First year playing this late in the year I sharked the market all year though so money is right but honestly these cards really that good? Like I have a hard time seeing my team get any better lol honest question though
