When new promo's are dropped does EA set a fixed amount of LTD's and once they're all pulled your only chance is buying from auction house or waiting for redux? Or do they put the card in packs for a set amount of time (like 4 days) and have a different probability of pulling an ltd from every different kind of pack but technically no limit of how many LTDs can be pulled, it would totally be up to chance? I wasn't able to find good information about this when searching online so if anyone has any idea please let me know.

It's done by time frames, not a set #. The only exception to that is the first 500 players to finish the Gauntlet. All other LTDs are typically in packs for 7 days, though some are in packs for less time. If you look at the menu screen before opening the Store, you will see the current LTDs are advertised as in packs until 2/5, 1pm ET.
For pulling LTDs from packs, it may just seem this way but it feels like a lot more are pulled/posted/available when a promo goes first goes live (odds seem better). I've also been wondering if they push a bunch out at the beginning to get them into circulation and then only allow a limited number of others up until the 7-day deadline.
In terms of supply, I am absolutely convinced EA adds more LTDs to the auction house after their time in packs has expired.
There are times when I have been searching a card that wasnt supposed to be in packs anymore and all the sudden several of them are posted at the same time all at the same price. The lowest price on the market for 1-hr. If it was coin flippers wouldn't they list them for higher than the bottom price and for 24hrs?

Man it sure feels like this to me as well re: those packs at launch. Would love to know the answer to this as well but I’m sure it’s sealed as tight as the “you know who” files.
I’ve pulled 2 LTDS this year both toward the end of their pack times. Pulled Mercedes Lewis last night out of the flashbacks mini pack and sold him for 1.7 and pulled 85 baker in a endzone pack before the game officially came out. I’d like to think it genuinely is just a game of odds but at the same times there’s players every year who pull 5+ LTDS so who really knows. I don’t spend money on this game but I do EVERYTHING else possible to make coins and players but never too greedy. I feel EA can be very rewarding depending on how you play and what you do. I don’t do meta plays or go on YouTube and I don’t sit on the auction house all day sniping. Just play all the games and events available and take calcualated risk on certain packs in the stores for coins. Not touching any BND pack though thats more than 1 coin 😂

Good to hear about your success pulling them towards the end of cycles. EA most certainly rewards their bigger spenders with better odds. It would be terrible business sense to waste that data. They do a ton of stupid shit but maximizing dollars from their user base is definitely something they are very good at. The concept of step up offers… crystals… top tier team builders that retain zero of the guaranteed qs values LTDs do… diamonds… the shift to bnd in cut… the list goes on in these wild ideas they come up with and test on us to make their casino more addicting and profitable.
