Problem is, even when I throw out a 3-4 or 5-2 alignment at a tremendous pass defense disadvantage against an 11-personnel offensive alignment, you knuckleheads with Derrick Henry will still keep running Jet Sweeps and Stretch runs, but that's exactly the sort of non-football IQ nonsense EA rewards.
Stop talking to all of us like we're doing something wrong. It's EA doing AI wrong. The pursuit angles are wrong, the contain efforts are ineffective, and with most defenders not interacting properly with the offensive linemen, all of the defenders get caught up in a clumsy mass that exposes the defense to all sorts of mayhem.
And even when we catch a break or two and hold you to 4th-and-1, you go for the gimme yardage with the RPO Alert and get more chances to play no-brain football.

You knuckleheads? Lol. I don't even use Henry. I also don't run loop blitz or any other shit like that. I just play the game. If I win awesome if not no big deal. No one said abilities weren't overpowered but to say it's no skill is complete bullshit and if you can't stop the run I'm sorry but to some extent you're doing something wrong. Most people make the same mistakes I've already listed and that's formation and personal.

What football thing are we doing wrong? The issue isn't football. It's having to play football in Maddenland, where normal logic and physics and intelligence don't apply. Some of us are resorting to Dollar because at least we might get lucky against the run and not risk getting burned badly by the pass while also getting (admittedly cheesy) penetrations through the defensive line. The rest of us are just taking the abuse repeatedly doing exactly what we were supposed to be doing, but getting the same broken result.
But, yes, I'm sure there's some video I could watch that will allow me to make seventeen Dance Dance Revolution pre-play inputs and then I can watch the game do what I'm wanting it to do even though it's not actually what the terms mean on the field.

Agreed. Or at least if I misjudged you, I apologize. I just feel it's grossly disingenuous to suggest that people who struggle against Derrick Henry et al (after not struggling all year because the run defense penetrations were otherwise constant) are struggling because they're running the wrong formation. I get better results against 12-personnel running heavier sets than I would if I stayed in nickel, but I also have to practically sell out to the run scheme-wise, and I get killed on corners and down the middle as a very predictable result. It gets old playing football like it's a mere throw of Roshambo. Against a "quality opponent" (in Madden terms, not football IQ), I have to have a string of correct guesses or a strong string of RNG to get a stop on defense.

Except it is. It literally came from real football. It came from dudes throwing dudes off tackles and stiff arming them into the dirt while leaving cleat marks up their backside.
If angry runs isn't a part of real football, then you can say the same thing for zone reactions and knockouts for zone KOs- those aren't in football - except we see players react and make plays on the ball in real life. Maybe the implementation is wrong, but as someone who has never been a primarily zone player, zone abilities have always bothered me. Do I tell people they shouldn't be used? No.
MUT is not a football sim; EA has never claimed it is. Stop trying to treaat it as such.

That response is pretty typical of a Madden player, so I’ll try not to digress…. but I do apologize that won’t watch you rush 36 times against my defense in a H2H match. I’d prefer not to waste my time that way.
In regards to your attitude, I feel like you have a lot of pent up rage so but it’s healthy that you can use this forum to try to vent it out. If insulting my intelligence 7 times in a few paragraphs of meaningless babble makes you feel better, I’m happy to help. Let it all out, and I truly hope you get thru whatever you’re struggling with
