I just lost my h2h season in the playoffs. Played against a direct loser who only ran mid blitz/hover over the DT on defense. I started with the ball at my 10 every drive and wasn’t able to run the ball. Actually how do you beat it? It was the most un fun game ever idk how people enjoy playing like this.

Deprive him of his food by leaving the Cheater's Food Chain.
The scum kicks:
Click onto the return man and move him up a few feet before the ball is kicked. After the ball is kicked click off and let the CPU move him into position to receive the kickoff. This should work almost every time and if you read your blocks well sometimes you can rip off a nice kick return TD.
Mid Blitz-
I like to use a lot of slants and drags, stuff that you can make quick reads. If they’re going to sit in mid blitz and user the lb up at the LOS I will gladly hit the HB in the flat or put the TE on a streak and get chunks of yards or easy TD’s. Even inside zone runs can be good against mid blitz.
DT hover-
I don’t try to force the run up the middle. Quick passes and stretch runs, sometimes you can get a few extra yards from jet sweeps.
HB Direct-
I will normally go to 3-4 odd, press the DB’s, put the edge rusher into a flat, and user the lb on the strong side. When I see the formation I assume HB Direct is coming.
P.s. I’m sure there are plenty of other members on here that can give you better advice. I’m not the greatest MUT player as I don’t watch YouTube and rely on my own experience to find stuff that works for me.

Thank you man

Yeah man, I hope it helps.
Some of these goons are tough to stop, especially since defense doesn’t really work how it should this year. Then there’s also the freak user gods that are just plain better than me.

Scum kicking is so easy to defend
Just user your kick returner, run up and catch it with a running start
You;ll actually get a few kick return TDs

Awesome response.
To add to this, I recommend bookmarking these links as great references that stay on top of what is meta and provide both how to run and stop it throughout the year.

Truthfully, just play the h2h events. You’ll play guys like this every single game and get a feel on how to stop them. At this point it’s not even hard to defend because they’re all the samw

They all share 1 brain cell
The biggest issue by far in this game is the abusing of the glitch speed burst
The fact that EA hasnt patched that by now is INSANE
Defense is already hard enough
mid blitz- duo runs , rpos where u can un target the slot corner
hover DT- hb draws, protection on base, slide protection away from the rb side
mid blitz just spam hb flat and slants- with hb flat sometimes the guy manned up is across the field unless they move him
A few of these have been stated:
User the kick returner for kickoffs and you can take scum kicks to the house because coverage is way out of position.
if they're running mid blitz, slants and drags are great, but good mid blitzers will start shading those routes/pressing. Watch the corners adjust pre-snap. If they're shifting in to adjust to inside routes, start throwing corners/stemmed down corners. If they're pressing, go deep. Also, make sure to untarget the user to get yourself a bit more time. Last, Trips TE formation absolutely destroys mid blitz. Puts mid blitzers out of position for runs and has great man beating routes.
Hover is annoying, but unless they're really good at switch sticking, they'll be out of position on passing routes. After spamming a few routes, they'll start getting lazy on the hover because they're worried about getting beat in the pass game. Once that happens audible to a good run and you'll get nice gains, since they'll be pass committing too.
I run even 6-1 on D with inside stuffs/no outsiders and HB direct has never been an issue, so that's the only tip I've got for that.
Always fun to beat guys who do every one of these things, along with selling out to block every extra point.
Good luck!
