Id have to see the play to answer that. My first guess would be you accidentally pressed or shaded underneath? Maybe? I have no idea. Was he actually 85 speed?? I dont think anyone is actually putting 85 speed receivers out there. If he really was 85 then you have a case as long as you didn't press or shade underneath. A good release against press will give a receiver like 5 yards of cushion which can't really be made up even with a big speed disadvantage. 

I agree with you on the part where if you go for a pick, and its too far to get it, they SHOULD just swat it. But I think that would make defense too easy. I used to get burned like this EVERY GAME. I had to condition myself to automatically go for the swat instead of picks. The only time I actually go for picks now is if its obvious my guy will be able to get it. I still get greedy all the time and get burned.

If he's referring to the 88 Mack Hollins, he has 85 speed base, 87/88 on a TT depending on if they have crystals.

By him saying he was in man, with safety help, I'd guess he was in Cover 2 man, which is universally shaded underneath... A streak is supposed to beat that. Then add that Archuleta is 6'1 while Hollins is 6'4, and that's a reasonable Moss-style catch. We also don't know if it was high-balled, or if Hollins had an ability.

I didn't want any bailouts.  It was just a bs play.  Breakout Porter was on mac  with few yards off the line. I was usering fletcher and switched to Archuleta once ball was in air after seeing Porter get burnt. Play was cover 1 thief outta dollar.

Play was cover 1 thief outta dollar. This site says mack speed is 85 and I already mentioned if you add crystals with theme team he still not hitting 94 speed. Porter was a few yards off of mack and I was originally usering fletcher till the I saw porter get burnt and I switched to Archuleta. At minimum it should have been an incomplete pass but like I mentioned holding triangle Archuleta didnt even animte at all.
