Haven’t played in a few days and the last 4 games Henry has fumbled. He still breaks tackle but seems to fumble way more now. Either that or avalanche/hit sticks are more effective. Just what I’ve noticed
Buffed avalanche pretty sure
Noticed the same with 99 Quard father. He fumbled 2x in the red zone today.
Is it common for ea to buff and nerf players and or abilities without mentioning it?

Absolutely.
How else do you get people to buy new players. If you could have a RB from a month or so again last the rest of the year, there would be no incentive to spend any money.
Now with everyone having avalanche your HB need truzz. I have never had someone with Truzz fumble even with an avalanche hit stick, but I'm sure it is possible.

Yes but that doesn't mean the cards get nerfed as in stats reduced. There is always gonna be a newer shiner card that has more. But has it been confirmed the card has truly been nerfed like they do in other games?
I think people are reading the patterns incorrectly. It's not that individual cards are being invisibly penalized. There's no question however that EA adjusts "sliders" that affect gameplay greatly. A few weeks ago, fumbles were out of hand, but then the balance was tweaked to reduce the frequency of fumbling. A few weeks before that, I experienced a greater frequency of dropped interceptions. Meanwhile, various abilities are now available at little cost at most positions.
Henry is still Henry. The attributes haven't changed. The sliders however affect how his attributes factor into gameplay interactions, and depending on the relative differences in the attributes of other players, slider adjustments that have affected Henry may or may not similarly affect other players.
Slider adjustments are a core part of EA's method for countering the tendency of the Madden experience to become stale. I personally am not a fan of that approach, as it arbitrarily and unpredictably alters the value of the individual components of the lineup I've spent months tuning. An EA update is like firing a rocket using a specific amount of fuel with a specific velocity and specific trajectory under anticipated environmental conditions, and despite the abundance of known data, having zero confidence that the rocket will land anywhere near its target. Slider adjustments break the "physics" of Madden.
Reason: Bringing the illustration home.
I think it's just the simple fact that we're all of a sudden seeing a LOT more players with Avalanche + Enforcer Supreme getting on the field. At this point five out of six of my DBs have Avalanche and only one lacks ES (Ted Hendricks SS). This presents significantly more opportunities to knock the ball loose.
EA barely lifts a finger, i highly doubt they're sitting there behind the scenes each and every day adjusting sliders up and down trying to fuck with the player base. While i cannot say for certain, i do not believe this is malice -- more a sign of neglect or incompetence for the bad, buggy, inconsistent mess of a game..

Not "every day", of course. Generally, I assume that whenever Madden's code is updated, that is when the slider adjustments are incorporated. Some have suggested that this happens dynamically, or frequently. I've not seen evidence of this. The shorter the interval of time measured, the harder it is to have a statistically significant sample size. But I can pretty easily detect changes in tuning over a couple week's of games following an update.

I would disagree with that only because, if there is a glitch that benefits players, they now have that fixed in minutes usually and will take down MUT to put a stop to it.
If it is something that is glitched on their end that doesn't help the player base monetarily, they will ignore it and almost never comment on it. And maybe it gets fixed.

These "glitches" you speak of are almost always related to packs, but gameplay. You're not wrong, I'm just not certain how relevant your argument is here when discussing specific cards or abilities.

If you played MUT24 endgame, Darren Woodson could make GT Lynch fumble and Lynch had truzz and tank..
I believe Avalanche with crusher enforcer and 99 hit power is unchecked. Nothing will stop that ball from popping if it lands.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this 😂👍

ABSOLUTELY!!! Years ago, we simply referred to this as the "new card smell." I think EA has gotten better at hiding some of their tweaks, but you used to be able to set your watch to it. About 2-3 weeks after a card was released, it played completely different overnight. I still think EA does this, I just accept it at this point and try to keep my roster current.
