I would only use it if it's an extra free ability...
Like on the Brady card or on Cunningham.

Did some testing tonight. Surprising results.
Tested fastest release with SFL & Gunslinger equipped. Young had PLE & GS instead. Average times to throw listed below:
Elway - 1.36
Brunell - 1.36
Young - 1.35 ***
Take from this what you will because I cannot understand why but cannot argue with the numbers. Slinger 3 is seemingly way closer to Slinger 1 than I previously assumed.

On short passes, nothing beats slinger 1.
On deep passes, though, Young with his slinger 3 has been the best I've used so far this year...

Those averages are “all“ throws. I was testing wr/te strat cards out so it’s a mixed bag.
