I wonder if glitches are there at times to throw crumbs at players that keep them hooked on the game. It doesn't really hurt the company by throwing gamers a bone once in a while. Even when the price for points was lower, EA probably made more money from the volume of people taking advantage of it!

This company doesnt want us having anything anymore without paying and they dont even hide it. They will never "throw us a bone" intentionally of any sorts. Thats crazy talk.
They’re pretty incompetent tbh at this point they just seems to not care that glitches are in the game and just try to hide them
As soon as they release a new game, most of the developers start on the next game or important release. Its the same with companies like EA who have a huge library of games that all release around the same time.
I'm surprised replies here are acting like this stuff is new. Back in Madden 18, there were these strange glitches that were clearly negligent to anyone playing. Such as accidental QB contain in squads or "BAD TIMING DROPPED PICK" etc. and then guess what, they were recycled right back into M19. Then comes M20 and not only are those glitches STILL THERE, but there is an in game advertisement for Madden 19 in the stands, rofl.
I was thinking, the glitch with the free 78 boom card for one coin. Everyone got on to get as many as possible to convert them to training. The gamers think they're winning but not in the long run. Now they're more invested and may buy a $20 pack or two. When 12000 points were at $69 for a short time they probably made a ton in volume. I just feel these are ways they get their hooks in players!

Think about it this way -- everyone hates their job. I'm sure the staff at EA Orlando / Tiburon are no different from you or i. They're not going to put in extra effort, when they can skate by doing the absolute bare minimum. It takes effort to properly test things. EA quite frankly doesn't give a fuck and cannot be bothered.
Sure, they'll react quickly in the event of some issue that directly impacts their bottom line, but otherwise, the Devs and middle management could not care less. They're not the ones earning 1.6 billion dollars annually... or whatever ridiculous figure from constantly extorting all of us by running a literal unregulated casino for kids.
EA doesn't intentionally put out these glitches, they just can't be bothered to do the bare minimum and anyone with actual technical skills or talent was chased out of there LONG ago.
You seriously think this guy knows how to develop a simulation fatball game, let alone run a video game production studio? HA, not a chance. I might employ him to help test helmets, as a literal crash-test dummy... he might be qualified for that role. But they want some massive brownie points for introducing the new kickoff rules. Game is basically done by March, when these things were being discussed, so to them (EA Orlando / Tiburon) this is some "major" achievement to adjust one minor aspect of the gameplay. That's basically what they've been doing for the past six months, obviously not addressing or fixing any of the numerous bugs, glitches and issues, many of which have remained persistent for years, often decade or more.

if they are than they worked and didn't at the same time. For example, I quit CUT because of the solo battle glitch that I wasn't able to take advantage on. I was about to stop playing madden daily until I pulled 150 bnd cards, quicksold the ones I couldn't use and then rolled a jalen ramsey LTD which sold for over a million coins. I still would have played but probably more offline. So it goes both ways for sure
