As the title says, I haven't played since 24. What is the state of the game like? Is the auction house still a good way to make lots of coins? What has changed since 24.

Auction House is usually awesome.
The game play, not so much. So many exploits. So little actual football.
There are people here that love the game the way it is, but they're on record as having sold their souls.

I came back to Madden last year from a 10+ year layoff.
I found the game to be better in some ways, but worse in a lot of ways.
The A.H. seems to be worse this year due to a new feature that helps you "Quick Post" your cards to the A.H.
When you open a card, it will give you a suggested starting bid and buy now price, and you can simply double-click to post it from the same window.
Gameplay hasn't changed much; it does feel a bit smoother, and the collisions feel a bit more natural, but Play Recognition is not a thing and has never been. You can still call the same play for an entire game, and the A.I. will never adjust, to the point that you begin to wonder if it's possible to adjust.
The Meta is strong as always, every MCS tournament brings out the cheese in people, and playing H2H feels like listening to the same bad joke every day.
I'm here because I love Football and there's no other option, and it's not a terrible game, as long as you don't have too high of expectations.

How the heck did you stay away for 10+ years? I hate EA but love football so I've did at max like 2-3 years cause nothing really changes or at least for the better.

I used to play on the PlayStation way back in the day, and I was a loyal PS+ subscriber until I moved out of the country and no longer had a reliable internet connection, so I decided not to renew my subscription for until I got back to the States.
So one day I wanted to play one of the many games that I had received for free for being a PS+ member, and to my surprise, I received a message that the games were not available because I no longer had a PS+ account...
I was pissed, so I sold my PS and swore that I would never go back, so I didn't.
About 10 years went by when Madden 25 came to the PC, and I was able to play again without having to pay extra to play online.

Okay my bad. I didn't even realize that you could have those issues if you moved out of the country and such so I apologize.

It's all good 😁

The market is terrible on PC and some cards seem to dissapear overnight. I've been trying to pick up the 92 McCaffrey for my 9ers TT and I haven't seen one in awhile.

Ya I bet. PC would be too frustrating for me. Everyone always complaining about NMS vs big spenders and the proof is PC. The NMS players need the spenders to even remotely afford a card. Hope you can find what you need.
Best way is to keep checking this site for prices. It's the most accurate and up to date speeds I've found. I don't know if the companion app will work for PC but if it does get that also. That way you can buy/sell on your phone.
Thanks for the great advice :)
I started using the Companion APP for the first time a few weeks ago, but it hasn't worked since the release of the Playoff Promo.
Even then I was having a difficult time finding cards; I honestly spend most of my playing time looking for cards on the AH and building sets is out of the questing, because it's way more expensive to build anything, when there's no cards available for sets and when they are available, they're overpriced.
But that's a day in the life of a MUT fiend :)
The later you wait in the season to jump back in, the more fun you will have.
1. You'll get a ton of immediate rewards and you can pick and choose your challenges to level up.
2. You can get great cards at incredibly low prices and build a competitive team fast.
3. The game will be heavily discounted and you don't have to spend more to be competitive.
4. Most of the complainers and sweats will have moved onto something else.
5 It's easier to map out a strategy and theme team. The bugs and meta are established and you can avoid or jump in at your discretion.

LOL Facts.... I didnt play last year because the movement was trash. Esp compared to College, so I played College all year. This year it seems they took the player mechanics and movement from what they did with College.
As far as the game play, exploits happen no matter what. I think to many players rely on the bs abilities like with Zero Chill promo provided. That was more like end game type abilities to me players stats being juiced, x factors being on from the start etc etc.
