At least they came out and said they would do it this time.
I've not seen that shadow nerfing is as viable an explanation for various items' declines when power creep progresses in sometimes abrupt phases and is a valid explanation all its own. Still, what you said is funny.

All the players who couldn’t afford to compete have hibernated awaiting January 9, 2025, when the game thaws out. Naturally, if you have a competitive team, the game feels very fresh.
