It's not as hard as you think. Play ranked, champions, and gauntlet if you're good enough, whatever limited-time game mode is going on. Also, look on mut.gg for profitable sets by sorting by program and price. Look at the highest-selling player, take the price you would sell him at, and multiply it by 0.9 to account for Ea's foolish auction tax. Then divide that price by 5 for the set pieces and see if you can find them for that price on madden. If you can't then don't make the set. But if you can go ahead and make the set for easy coin. That's how I go up to 3 million coins as a free-to-player. https://www.mut.gg/25/lineup-builder/f239d085-ee5f-4dd3-a6de-3262fdef4cc7/ There is the team I've built and have a good day.
Or spend 20$ and get as much or more coins with less grinding
Multiplying by .9 is so much harder than minusing by .1 timesed the whole

The tax is very much needed and not foolish.
You can't have an economy print unlimited currency without taking some out.

I mean yes, but don't post this as if it's a matter of fact; there is always risk. EA can at anytime change the economy and leave anyone's strategy on the bus. But yes, generally this type of strategy works. I, however, will only typically do this strategy for a card I would like to have on my time. This way if EA does pull the string I have a spot on my roster for that card regardless.

My advice is to not chase overpriced cards, set a budget per player and hold yourself to that. Before ZC, when abilities are scarce, I play with a full bnd squad and just stack coins the whole time.
Once we start getting abilities, I make more upgrades but have a budget of upgrades not costing more than 500k per player.
Doing it this way means I can't spend coins as fast as I make them and my stack continues to grow while improving my team.
i have 10M coins, only spent $5 this whole year. i dont do sets. well rarely but ive been burned before by falling price son sets. what i like to do is simple. whatever pack is the current great dela or offer, when you see it you will know, then go to the store and buy up the second highest tier card. so say a pack is the new genki promo and its a 90+ guarenteed, with a 15% chance at a 96, ill go for the 90s all day for cheap, wait a few days until the offer is out of the store, then profit huge on all the cards.
Theres also these moments of market crash, and thats the best time to buy some of the "old meta" cards as they drop to near min pricings. also sometimes even the new promo cards can become ultra cheap if people dont think its a "great promo" (jared verse, pat surtain, josh allen, all were min 407k when released)
