His price seems to be going up instead of down , anyone ideas on why?

All it takes is one comparable QB to destroy his price. Right now he is a clear cut QB1 who gives you more AP flexibility than any other QB. He has the best of everything.

The sets aren't cheap to make and prices of the diamonds are actually falling so it essentially is more expensive to make Elway. Some of the cards in those sets aren't pulled from packs so their cost hasn't really gone down. 

I have Elway and I am considering selling him just because we will get another QB close here soon and his price will tank. Full disclosure I bought him for 5.7M

I honestly don't think we will get another QB like this for a while...not with those abilities and release anyway.

If you need the coins it' s a fine move to sell but I wouldn't expect a QB of this caliber for a while. 

That's the reason I'm not selling. I have coins but more than that,  i don't think we will see a QB with slinger 1 , and discounted abilities like Elway's for some time. I like Culpepper , McNair played ok. But Elway is in a different class. So I'm holding on to him.

The above are probably the reasons his price isn't dropping. People building him are realizing how good the card is and not selling so there's not much of a supply, and those who haven't built him yet probably aren't in any rush to do so. With sets like this,  unless something happens to make set components cheaper, there will be an initial rush to complete the set and.all those who rushed, have finished. No one's rushing to do the set anymore. No.new Elways. No price reduction.

And the size/scope of those sets is also a reason I believe his supply is so limited. I also think people are concerned EA may drop TVP or a pack similar to what they did for NTL and bring his price down. It’s crazy thinking about a 5 mil LTD card that isn’t a LTD in October I’ve been playing since 16 and I can’t remember a card twas close to that.
