I’m wondering if people actually realize what they’re doing with the temporary speed boosts from program strategy cards. Every other week, folks rush to the AH and buy all the new cards for 500–800k just to get the 20 chemistry from whatever promo, so they can enjoy a two-week speed boost.
The thing is, those same cards lose half their value by the time the +1 to all stats wears off—and the depreciation usually starts even earlier. So essentially, you’re spending 30–50% of your coins for what’s basically a 10-day rental. On top of that, the crystal stuff they added has made the game even more pay-to-play/win than it ever was.
I’ll admit, it’s still really easy to make coins and build a solid team with the BND content available. But the gap between that and people already putting 95+ speed players on the field is just insane.
