DoN and X-Factor pass rushers

Is it worth running DoN on rushers with unstoppable force or colossus? Seems like it could be a negative now using up more pass rush points than necessary if they are going to shead quick anyway with their X-Factor. 

Also does defensive rally work on the bench or does the player need to be on the field?

Defensive Rally (along with all/most abilities) only work when your players on on the field.  However, you can have multiple players with more than one stacked and get additional (1 per ability) pass rush points, if desired.

I don't have any clear data on how or if we should also be stacking other pass rush abilities, but YES... i do.  In fact, i really enjoy the combination of DoN + Edge Threat, it's what i'm running on both Furious George (with 1AP Colossus) and Bradley Chubb (0AP Unstoppable Force), along with No Outsiders to help defend against the annoying run.  As you pointed out, this could potentially impact overall performance, but i figure the more (abilities) the merrier.

So yes, i'm running them all.

I'll go ahead and put multiple defensive rallies on my D-lineman, good to know that they stack. Definitely can't hurt having the extra abilities as long as you have enough pass rush points.

I try to avoid stuff liek Bull Rush, which only works from max pass rush points, in favor of DoN + ET combo, but I would assume these guys are fairly consistent with the pass rush based off of Colossus and Unstoppable Force alone.

I haven't had a Defensive Rally on the field in weeks, don't really seem to miss it all that much. I'd be curious to hear whatever adjusted ability combo works for you. 

If it's helpful, I can list out the complete ability stack I run across my entire D-line once I'm in front of my console, probably before Warriors game starts in twenty minutes, or so. Maybe we can compare notes and tactics.

wait so ur saying that if i put defensive rally on all my Dline on 3 and 4 downs ima get 4 pass rush points for all 4 linemen?

Yessir, that is correct. I haven't used that (Defensive Rally) in a hot minute, but I've got uhhh Adrenaline, I think, on big Larry Allen, so his pass rush points refill completely after a sack.

There's quite a few of these type abilities that can add pass rush points / modifiers. Don't snooze on Barno (Combine ROLB), for 1AP he can get Relentless, meaning his pass rush points will always be full. 💪

He was far and away my most productive pass rusher over the past 2 months, or so. Finally replaced him, but he's still elite budget beast.

yeah i have gravedigger using relentless and DON which helps but his speed isn’t good i used to ardrenaline but i stopped because you NEED the sack for the refill and sometimes i dont even get pressures so now that i know  abt defensive rally ima definitely use it more thanks bro

I really like putting the relentless x factor as it makes pass rush moves no longer cost points, and it's not terribly difficult to activate. if you can get 2/3 lit up at once along with uf/colossus and some edge/interior threat they get really active.

Holy shit!! I did not know you can stack abilities like defensive rally. What others are eligible? And you're running DoN and edge/interior threat on Collosus/UF?

I posted this in another thread, but he's my full pass rush setup at the moment, feeling pretty top notch -- hopefully that answers your questions, yes I'm especially loving combo of DoN + ET to supplement big boys:

• 99 SPD George (263lbs): Run Stopper, Unpredictable, No Outsiders, Edge Threat, Tackle Supreme, Colossus, DoN = 1AP
• 95 SPD Larry (335lbs): Secure Tackler, No Outsiders, Tip Drill, Lurker, Inside Stuff, Acrobat, Colossus = 2AP
• 91 SPD T. Sweat (366lbs): UF, No Outsiders, Tackle Supreme, Inside Stuff, Unpredictable = 0AP
• 98 SPD Chubb (275lbs): UF, Secure Tackler, No Outsiders, Edge Threat, Acrobat, DoN = 0AP

Acrobat kind of optional, could easily be something else... I just love the leaping swat animations. Once in a blue moon, the D-line will leap up and snatch the ball out of the air and it's so fun.

Very nice! I picked too tall as my bond(big regrets) so I just feel like I have to run him. 3 ap is a ton right now for Colossus. I have Larry and sweat already. But chubb is really good? Does nasty streak negate him on passing plays?

Yes, run Too Tall! Get his 95 and drop that BND in there, BOOM... new Slot receiver and Kick Returner, with 1AP YAC 'em Up (also triggers on special teams). Don't forget Spin Cycle! He's fantastic! 

Chubb is super dominant. Nasty Streak is for run game, Secure Protector + All Day can counter our pass rush abilities, but with all these UF & Colossus, we're gonna get sheds. Won't always be in 2-3 seconds, but quite often it will... or less.

I just picked up Carter and Chubb so I am trying to experiment a little with their stacks, I had no DoN on Carter and he seemed to be getting the same amount of pressure as Chubb who had DoN. 

I should try a few games without that DoN/ETE combo on both just to keep it uniform. Buckner is in the middle for me with DoN baked on so I can't include him in this experiment, but he has been great for me.

I don't find it's worth paying for ETE, the Under Pressure component barely ever forces inaccurates, so my advice would be to save the AP, use the free 0AP version of regular Edge Threat. But yeah, it's kind of difficult to induce upon Unstoppable Force and Colossus. They're very much end-game, but hey we've got a ton of extra buckets, might as well experiment a little. Acrobat is funny, gets a few swats and batted balls, but not nearly as effective... although dudes animate all the time. They mostly just whiff.
