In my experience edge threat elite is countered by edge or secure pro buy if you add another ability like double or nothing, it seems to might to anyway sometimes
Everyone is excited about 0 AP ETE on Too Tall but IMO you'd have to add DON or something like it to make this card as effective as JJ or Haley or Mario , for example
Nah I have convinced myself that its a worthless ability now since its completely countered by Edge Protector. I have Matt Judon’s 94 OVR card with just DoN on him and he gets the most pressure on my line. I feel like most pressure comes from the interior anyway. That’s how I get sacked a lot, and that’s how I get a couple sacks here and there. Richard Seymour is still generating a ton of pressure for me lmao and he only has Defensive Rally
It feels like D-line abilities have become almost pointless lately. Scheme gets way more pressure/sacks than D-line abilities now. Edge/Secure Pro are taking away all quick shed moves from edge rushers.
If you have your edge rushers get a sack without scheming 5+ rushers then it’s usually after they’ve used 2-3 pass rush moves and with how much speed the offense has you rarely get enough time for the DE’s to do that before the pass is thrown.
I’m considering just putting on whatever abilities are 0AP on the d-line and spending my AP somewhere else.

Yup I agree. Which is why people are.making to much of Too Tall getting 0 AP ETE. You would still have to add 1 AP DON.
And even then EP or SP will shut down the pass rush. So that's why you have to basically blitz to get pressure. The only other thing is have pass rushers at DT . I sometimes run Mad Maxx and JJ in the middle at DT.
Unless the opposing Guards/C have secure pro, you can get middle pressure
