I was winning the majority of my games before this, and since then, I have a win percentage of around 4%.
When the playoffs cards came out EA did their big update. After it, I noticed that the name of my team had been changed, and when I took the field, I noticed that my players moved at about half the speed they used to. I’ve spent since then trying to fix it. And I know beyond any doubt (at this point) they attached a negative modifier of some sort to my account. My team makes mistakes, is slower and less responsive to inputs, and I almost never win a game. On paper, my Rasheed Shahid runs 99. In the game, on the field, he runs more like 90. I’ve seen him on everyone’s teams. Anyone can observe this anomaly. There’s just too many irregularities. And this affect can be observed by anyone who I put in the field.
Now, before you dismiss me thinking that I must be a crazy person who is accusing EA of putting some kind of negative modifier on my account, you should know that I have both video evidence to show that my players do not perform to the same level as the exact players on other teams do. In fact, the sudden influx of bandwagon riders on my Seahawks have made that very apparent as more and more teams have almost my identical roster. I just can’t help but think — I wish my 99 OVR K-9 moved like the rest of you’all’s.
Opponents have even noticed that my team does not perform. Last week I played a kid who beat me with an 87 OVR team. He observed that his players should never have been able to keep up with mine and, well, they weren’t just keeping up : they were both stronger and faster. He called a bunch of his friends to observe the anomaly and they are all believers of my plight today. You can’t unsee it once you see it.
I have spent the last weeks trying to fix my team. Currently I have a 96 OVR team that reads speeds and strengths like you can imagine and yet, teams rated in the low 90’s and high 80’s can beat me in tournament play because, well…their players are both faster and stronger than mine.
Furthermore, I have evidence from a chat with EA Help that confirms that someone did indeed put something on my account. The person at EA Help I reached that day said that they did not have the authority to remove it. I recorded the chat.
So, I KNOW what is happening to me. I’m not here to have any of you tell me I’m right, and I could care way less if you think I’m wrong. Without question they have Nerfed my account. I’m the one experiencing this. What I don’t know is how to fix it. And what I want to know is, has this ever happened to you?
I don’t think I can stop what they did to me alone. So, if you think they did this to you — maybe they did. If they can do it to one of us they can do it to any of us.
I need help. Help fighting back. I’m open to ideas and I just want to play this game on an even playing field with everyone else again. EA should not be tampering with wins and losses by targeted Nerfing of accounts. Most of us came here for fair competition. That’s all I want.
You most likely are buying the wrong pass. There is the premium team pass that is different from the season pass and not worth it.
That is what comes up first when a new season starts and ask you to pick your favorite team.

Question: do you have an expectation when you spend time and money upgrading players that they would outperform (especially in speed and power) the lower rated players you are trading up for? Be honest. The only way OVR works is if it actually works. And it DOES work. So why is it not working here?

What do you think the updates are for? Gameplay improvements aren’t just for us.
The above photos and video summarize the issue. This is what it is like NO MATTER WHO I FACE. Their players are stronger and faster regardless of OVR or any other metric in my favor.
The first thing that stood out to me is that you have two garbage players at DT. Neither Geno Atkins nor Jarren Reed are going to generate significant pressure from the middle, nor will Byron Murphy II or Poona Ford. Their OVR's are high, but at this point, they lack both the attributes and reduced AP abilities that are critical at this point.
SPD is SPD, but there are lots of ways that SPD can be manipulated during the course of the game. I would be among the first to say that I do think there is a form of OVR leveling that occurs in Head-to-Head play, but most likely you are losing games because your opponents are better than you think they are. Not because they have higher football acumen, but because they are adroit at exploiting Madden terrible code.
At this point in the MUT lifecycle, most of the casuals have retired to other games, so you will be matching up more frequently against users that cheat. I've destroyed users that play straight football despite lineups that vastly outclass mine. I've also had users that came to play with a lineup with an OVR four or five points lower than mine, but the cheese they employ coupled with abilities tuned to overcome counters are enough to render my players comparatively worthless. A lot of these recent users with 'weaker lineups' are merely popping in for high-profit events as they prepare to build up their coinstacks for Rookie Premiere, and if they lean in hard on the cheating, you won't stand a chance unless you cheat back.
Three more things:
Your abilities vs. your opponents' abilities may be defining the outcomes of individual plays. Top-SPD players without good Man- or Zone-KO abilities will get owned by 'slower' players with Route Technician and abilities that improve catching.
There is only one Black History Month player that should be in your lineup right now: Kam Chancellor. Keep a lineup with these players aside to switch to for solos to earn your tokens, but for Head-to-Head play, everyone else is a liability if they end up on the field.
Get that Team Diamonds Strategy Item out of there, and put in either the Playoffs or Black History Month Program Strategy Item. You should have no problem getting back to 55/60 Seahawks once you've replaced the four weak BHM players.

Thanks for that advice. Very sound. I normally would have the stronger lineup, but I’ve learned it doesn’t matter and stopped caring that much. This is week 3 of being Nerfed and I don’t have a believe that anything other than raising awareness will stand a chance to turn things around for me and those other people who are going through this.
Genuinely though, I appreciate your advice and will apply it.
Only, what the heck do I do about people who can manipulate the game like that then?
BTW, the team shows no improvement with either the Playoffs or the Black history Month Strategy cards. I’ve been using them, testing out things. I’ve been through more permutations than you would likely believe. I plug those I and it doesn’t effect my team in the way you might expect: they do nothing. What is on paper is not what is on field.
