Defense is in a weird spot right now… but good

Madden 24 everyone was running either 6-1 or dollar since they were the elite defenses 

Last year everyone was running cover 4 loop blitz and mid blitz since they were the elite defenses 

This year I feel like it actually depends what your opponent is bad at, and I feel like there is no defense you can just stay in all game. Unlike previous years 

The most meta right now probably any formation with 4 D-linemen so you can run the Texas 4 man, but that gets destroyed if you roll out 

Man can be elite, but with I’ve experienced, if you play against someone who knows how to beat it. Your destroyed

All in all, I think there’s no elite defenses this year, obviously there’s good defenses. And you gotta mix it up this year, adjust, and can’t sit in a defense all game this year, which I like since it’s more realistic

How much better is the game than last year?

I've been reading the forum and I'm still reading issues with coverage and animation locks.

Last year you couldn't run until Marcus Allen was dropped.  Are we still seeing issues with goaline formation not running against Dollar?

Is the game still unplayable without abilities?

I played the first time today in a month 

The movement feels way more realistic, but it’s Madden so some  non realistic things here and there like aggs

I've been waiting for the right time to jump back in, but it sounds like I'm not missing out on anything.
