Crystal Scam?

surtain is really the card that will tank in a big way.  to do the rivalry steps you get 3 reduxs so i don't see how surtain doesn't continue to plummet.

i do think saquon/micah could be an option as one of the steps in the new crystal path so i could see that bringing them down, but surtain will tank even further tomorrow.

That's what I think EA will do... I doubt they're even thinking about people still running the crystal cards.  In EA's mind they're saying, well of course players will just want to use the new version of Saquon, Parsons, and Surtain when they get released.  But my plan is to just keep them as backups and keep the +1 SPD boost all year.

This is my plan as well.  It's why I stayed away from an Eagles TT this year.  I knew there would be a lot of Saquon upgrades down the road and I didn't want to have to make the decision to jettison the +1 SPD boost for my full team.

I switched from Eagles to Raiders for that reason and because I can’t keep up with the Eagles only getting LTD upgrades…

I really hope they just let you plug them in as a final upgrade step in the future cards as well. Future Saquon, Parson and PS2 cards will all be ones I'll wanna use. I have to imagine they realize this, but I also really doubt they just bake the chems for anyone. 

Powerup cards would solve all this stuff, but they clearely hated having to balance around them. They should just bring em back and be pure Chems upgradeable cards and nothing else (no OVR boost, no training cost. Just plug in the elites and it lets you keep previous program/team chems).

They will and an upgrade path on the new card to insert the Crystal version into for the chems, like they did with the Motivators last year.

They will likely add an upgrade slot to carry over the crystal boosts

Thats what they did last year for Emmitt Smith upgrades after his super bowl card to carry over boosts

only if they played a different position. Saquon is a HB on every card so this won’t be an option

I can't recall any time since MUT 24 where we didn't know what a future release would do to the current value of cards, and whether the older cards would increase greatly or tank utterly.

I paid 1.3m for Saquon today, after having bought and sold him twice before. I don't know that I want to sell him again. I might regret that in the end, but I will be able to use the +1 SPD until at least April. (Realistically, we'll be at Goon Squads at that point, but that's six months away.)

Yeah..didn't think about that part...lol...I hope they dont make you have to make a choice, cause I really like using saquan cards...maybe you can use 1 of the new ones as a third to keep original boosts..doubt it...wish we knew cause if I could sell off saquan and get a new one tomm for cheaper to keep original boosts and get the new saquan card

if the new saquon has any team chem and crystal as an upgrade, it will be an insanely high priced card and will drive up 86s to insane #s.

The upgrade path could be training after some time.
