I'm NMS and pulled the Crystal Saquon from the Red Zone pack that you get as a reward for filling out your MCS bracket. Sold it for 2.75m so that helped my team out immensely and probably for the rest of the year LOL.

only bots would give up +1 speed for a new card

It's a simple fix really, all they would have to do is put an upgrade path on the Crystal cards to slot the new cards into. This is the only real way to fix the situation that they themselves created.
