Just wondering your thoughts on cross ? And Is there an option to turn this off ?

Will there be a potential disadvantage with regards to the markets.

E.g. some markets operating with cheaper prices and can build better teams. Obviously if one market has players for lower, they are also selling pulls for lower.

I am interested to see how it  will play out. I switched and bought the PC version after using Xbox in the past. I don't have a next gen console and dont play anything else online (didn't want to pay for that on top of the game).

I will be curious to see if the PC market picks up a least a little bit with the changes for 24.

I can't confirm but from what content creators have been saying, it sounds like there will be an option to turn off cross play. I personally will keep it on at the jump.

I am interested to see if you can team up in squads with players cross platform or even lab with them via play vs friend. I'm not sure where the line stops for cross play.

When it was announced EA said you would be able to turn off cross play and told us how to do so.

In general, as long as there aren't any glitches/hacks because of it cross play is a good thing.

Usually, the PS and Xbox markets are close enough that I doubt it will be an issue. Pc is a different story but perhaps it will be different this year since pc is getting current gen version of the game.

The main concern is if there are any glitches/exploits that give an unfair advantage but are only possible on some platforms. For example, I've heard that pc Fifa players are able to hack the game and make their players appear invisible. Not sure, how prevalent it is or if it happens in pc madden. But I will probably start the year with crossplay on unless I notice a lot of problems with it.

Hopefully, Squads will benefit greatly from crossplay.  It's still a pain in the butt to get a match at certain times, so it's gotta help...

As a decade-plus MUT PC player, I want someone to teach ME how to make my players invisible! :).  In all seriousness, there's been a weird conspiratorial attitude (not you, Breakluna) about brining PC into current gen/crossplay that I guess will only disappear with time and evidence.  One of the things I'll be curious about is whether, during H2H/Squads, players will be able to identify which platforms crossplay players are working from.  I have a feeling that players from other platforms might blame any desyncs or other wackiness on PC players in spite of real evidence.  And that would be a shame, b/c as a PC player, the thing I want most is consistent access to matches.  It's been too commonly the case that getting a game at certain times of the day is nearly impossible on PC (especially in MUT Champs and All-Madden H2H).  Crossing my fingers for the best outcomes for the community here!

Yeah, hopefully more people will come around to pc being included on crossplay.  Like I said I'll give it a try to start the year and see if I encounter any issues. There's probably more genuine players than there are cheaters. As long as EA takes appropriate action with cheaters, I don't think there's anything to be concerned about.

Most games with cross play that I have played have an indicator to tell you if people you're playing with are on the same platform as you. Hopefully, madden will as well.

I hope cross play ends up working out for everyone. But PC in particular has the most to benefit if everything has is handled well. PC definitely could use a win.

You can definitely turn off Crossplay at any point.  My primary concern with this, as always, remains EA's ability to keep the servers online and running flawlessly.  Menu interactions can already be painfully slow, if there's additional latency/lag involved with Crossplay, it might make this unbearable.  However, starting off I'm going to be looking forward to rolling against some degenerate Xbox gamers.  I have zero context, but that place appears to be a wretched hive of scum and villainy, barely anyone price locked cards on PSN, however i kept hearing folks say that their various RPs were stuck at 750 coins.

I'm also curious about how these new, split markets will ultimately work out -- what is going to prevent me from buying cards on the cheaper of the two (PS4 Pro vs PS5 console auction house) and then using that to transfer players to my primary account.  It'll be an interesting experience to see how the Companion App functions moving forward.  In the past I had two clearly distinct logins for PS4 and PS5 accounts, but the markets were the same during `23.  Some serious potential for arbitrage here.  I wouldn't be surprised if there's account entirely dedicated to extracting value from shuffling cards/players around between markets.

Super pumped that all the PC players will finally be brought up to next-gen gameplay.  #PCmasterrace!  Sadly, i've been forced to differentiate between "bad screen" (being at my desk for wr0k) and "good screen" (couch + PS5).

if you're switching to pc from xbox, don't be expecting too much

as a pc player, the market is way smaller and the prices are much higher than on xbox and ps
