I'm pretty sure that was a thing back in the day. I remember it used to having the players user ID on the the listed item.
I could be wrong but this was back in the day when you could also trade cards with other players.

You're not wrong.
DrCoin said:banned this year on Easter— for just selling like a madman in the companion app—something will never do again. Ea kept telling me coin distribution? Over 7 emails, finally after u disputed it, they admitted they were wrong and apologized via email.. took me out of the game for 2 months, no offer of compensation just a Sorry you were right email. The emails were automated , all of them. With the layoffs Ea has done, they have left it to bots sadly
EA won't let you sell your coins or Madden points back to them, yet you get banned for selling the coins to someone who doesn't want to try their luck on the terrible pack odds.
They think selling coins is the absolute worst thing, but won't bat an eye for selling your $100 step offers that don't guarantee you get the player you want.
I believe that $100 should buy you the choice of any player card, considering you can purchase the entire game for a fraction of that.
One of the core issues is that EA never actually PROVES what they say they are banning you for (i.e. "coin selling"). They simply have a bot that looks at M2 Median price and checks if you've BOUGHT at 0.5x or SOLD at 2.0x of M2 Median Price, X times over Y number of hours as their trigger mechanism for a ban. This proves nothing other than you bought at a low price and/or sold high. The "Binding Arbitration" clause we are all forced to accept at install means that they will never be sued and false bans is not costly to them at all.
FYI "BOUGHT at 0.5x or SOLD at 2.0x of M2 Median Price" is my best guess as to how the algorithm roughly works.
You won't like this answer, but as far as "how to remove it" this is explained in the documents below. From my understanding BOTH docs apply (even though they CLEARLY have conflicting information regarding the 30/60 days to wait before escalating to arbitration..in the event ea-help@ is of no help to you).

Maybe they should actually stop banning people for making coins by selling cards in the auction house or through their broken shitty app?

Haven't touched it...
It may have expired. I'll have to look into it.
Thanks for the heads up.
