Good morning,
I’ve been thinking about picking up college football since the deluxe is on sale and I wanted to ask those who played both games their opinions on it, and what they prefer or dislike it in comparison to madden.

I only played CFB to earn rewards for MUT, so i'm probably not the best person to offer advice or direct comparison, but i've definitely played both. College is faster, initially it seemed more "fun" overall, in terms of pure gameplay, but now i'm not so sure.
What are your goals with CFB? If it's to tinker with some offline stuff, franchise or whatever modes, i'd highly encourage you to consider it. If yer even remotely considering CUT, i would urge you to RUN AWAY. Save your cash (and sanity). As with many things, it depends. Could be some potential, especially for offline grind, but otherwise, they're just reskinned versions of the same game, same game outdated Frostbite game engine (from PS3 era, or before)... just some sliders adjusted to make the game feel a touch different.
EA doesn't deserve your hard-earned dollars, there's so many legit good games out there these days. Sadly, i'm stuck here with the rest of us, a full-blown MUT addict. Oof. Having a blast with Squads lately, but beyond that, it's all a disappointing and frustrating mess.

I planned on playing ultimate team then dabbling into some dynasty. I’ve playing it with free play weekend and the ultimate team grind is so brutal. The cards don’t sell and the objectives only track in h2h/solo modes. Madden has been stale for me since playoff promo since I added all the cards I wanted for my Ravens TT, and after hitting champion all online games have been a headache. Just wanted a new venue to scratch the football itch.

Gotcha, I feel ya man. I've struggled to motivate to want to do Ranked grind. I'm only silver tier. Mostly just playing Squads lately, that's brought an entirely new aspect of Madden to keep things fresh for me, but it's not easy to find two guys with similar schedules, let alone compatible gameplay. I love defense, so being DC is a natural fit with my little group.
I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with more than one pay to win style EA title. It's basically more of the same. Shouldn't be so difficult to find a modern football title that is fair, competitive, balanced and hopefully FUN... but nothing of the sort exists. Oh so sad.

I tried sauads but its hard finding randoms who are looking for a coordinator. Yup it’s hard keeping up with just 1 ultimate team mode with adult responsibilities. I think I’ll sell my team off and head over to CUT honestly. I’m not that familiar with the new kids in college and this a good way to familiarize myself with the players.
I was gifted a Playstation gift card for Christmas and the MVP bundle was on sale for $67 so naturally I purchased it even though I didn’t plan on playing MUT25 of CFB yet. Initially I played CUT daily trying to get a team built up and play H2H’s. Unfortunately it was extremely difficult to earn coins in comparison to MUT and the rewards seem to be much worse as well (I know it’s hard to believe).
I was much more excited to play CFB since I hadn’t been able to play as my favorite team since NCAA14 but I have pretty much abandoned CFB and have only been spending my time in MUT. If the rewards were better and I could earn coins more easily I would be balancing my time between both games.

No promises, but I can try to reach out once in a while if we're needing a third. Tried Duos earlier today before games started, after our HC had to leave a bit early, but our cameras are constantly fucked when it's just the two of us. No ability to adjust, I basically had to play D-line the entire game, as I could only see part of the field. Super frustrating.
What platform you on? We're PS5.

Game Play: Prefer CFB 25 (There are some minor weird thing that happen in Madden that don't happen in CFB) (I do prefer the Madden Kick Meter over the CFB Kick Meter)
Graphics & Camera: Prefer Madden (I do like the mascots in CFB)
Challenges: Prefer Madden (There was a long lull in CFB with very little new content, but recently they released a lot of different challenges, the last 2 weeks in CFB have not been bad)
Coin Making: Madden (there is less ability to make coins in CFB compared to Madden. There is not a lot of demand and some very good players that would help most teams are going for very reasonable prices in the auction house)
Player Sets: Madden (There are a lot of sets in CFB that give you random cards and at times duplicates of these random cards. I only make sets in CFB when I get reward packs and want to get rid of these binder players)
Theme Team: CFB (I wish they had more Penn State players in the game, but for 15,000 coins I can make any player a Penn State player....Go Lions!)
If you do get CFB, tune into Twitch this weekend and there are 4 drops you can get and you will get a 91+ OVR, 90 OVR and a bunch of lower random cards.

I played it for the first 75 days.
It’s worth trying if you watch college ball at all. I know some people save their time for the NFL.

Could really use an OC / QB tonight, just two of us. 🥳

Wish I would have saw this last night. I sold my whole team off when I bought CFB and i’m missing half a qb and half my offense right now 😔

Thank you. I’ll def tune in for the free drops. This game is weird, training is king lol. I’m enjoying it tho. It’s nice being able to play football without abilities being too over powering. The only way to make coins is playing h2h online which is right up my alley.
The theme team and playbooks are confusing right now but I guess I’ll settle into it as I get more coins.

There are more drops today if you did not know.
Bowl Legend challenges were all jacked up and I think they removed them.
When the game started, we could do challenges for playbooks. Some playbooks have nice auction house value.
