You have until 10am EST to open the presents on the 25th or they completely disappear from your account. The presents then get distributed amongst the current active players on the system so if you are on Christmas morning you usually get 20-30 extra presents from people who didn't claim theirs.
***nothing will happen to your presents. They will stay in your account until the next time you log in.
