I have the comp. Joey porter, and slay, and Deion, and Jalen Ramsey. Rn I have porter and slay on the outside and deion in the slot. slay keepa getting burned so I’m wondering if there is a different way to arrange these players to prevent this.

I would recommend getting a different corner over Slay. His card is sadly outdated even though it’s a 99 and he only gets pick artist for 0. Better off finding a bigger corner to put outside, especially one that gets a free KO.

I would try deion so you can have the most abilities there or Ramsey for his extra inch of height.

But I agree you may need to upgrade to someone with a better discount for your scheme

If you aren’t playing Joey porter in the slot with 1 AP passive UC what are you really doing? He is a slot corner through and through.

Nah, when u get a sack and force them to make long plays, he literally lock down a full side of the field

Even his archetype is slot but you do you man. He has been an absolute stud for me in the slot. I like taller guys on the outside. Just my personal preference.I’m grabbing CB Calvin and playing him at SS.

I mostly played zone all year and am now kinda building so I can do both. I mostly guard against the short ball and capitalize on my opponents mistake.

Archtype is just discounts on abilties for the most part

I thought it meant they would play that position or scheme better. Like a man 2 man corner would be more suited for man coverage just like a zone cb will be better at zone. I have played porter and Rod Woodson in the slot and both have slot archetype. Those two have been the best at nickel for me all year and I thought it was because of their archetype. Thanks for the clarity

Im sure it may help but its more just for discounts than anything else.

Look at the abilties list here. Click on one and the left hand side what the criteria originally to get them discounted.
