Can't get companion app to load

Anybody else having this problem?

On my android, I can download the app. But it will not start up. As soon as I try to open it, I get a quick black screen. And then it shuts down. And I get the Android notification they the app keeps stopping

Same.   Doesn't seem ready for prime time.   I'll try again in a few days/ weeks

Just tried myself android ps5 and updated then loaded fine. Thought really quick moving from menus. 

I'm sure one action will freeze it though 🙄

I may have made a mistake by deleting the old app, and installing the update.

I'm guessing the phone memory has some hidden cache files that are freezing up the new update.
