Can’t bid on cards?

Has there been any word why you can’t bid on cards? You can buy it now but when you bid it says unavailable on all cards. Noticed even cards with starting bids at 1000 coins have no bids.

They took away bidding when there was that auction house glitch that was returning double your coins if you got outbid.
