The idea of pressing a button for a Hard Count with the risk of a False Start penalty is a gross oversimplification of what happens on a field. The fact that defensive players in Madden get the jump they do off the snap is evidence that EA doesn't grasp what happens at the line moments before the snap. That idea’s actually good if EA doesn’t make Mid Blitz good against every offensive play (and vice-versa for Bunch X Nasty or HB Direct Snap)

Kicks are RNG in whether or not you get a block animation, and I don’t think anyone likes that. At least put skill as a factor and make the opponent have to perfectly time the snap to block it.

I block at least 1 kick a game and have the Xbox clips to show. It’s legit just timing. It’s super easy to time with everyone just letting the bar go to the right once then kicking. It’s not hard at all and all you need is a taller LB that has decent speed.

Yea this isn’t my issue though, I always randomly and don’t show a tell to my timing because I had this issue earlier in the year

It's not an exploit or a glitch, this has to be one of the dumbest issues i've heard people talk about. 

They know the timing because everyone kicks straight away, if nfl teams could time the snap perfect every time they would block them too.  

All you have to do is wait a second to kick, wait until they bring their guy down and then kick.

And no i'm not taking up for it because i do it, because i don't even try to block kicks but it's simple reasoning.

blocking kicks is for people that would actually gargle an EA employee's private parts for a 1% chance at a competitive advantage, so now we all have to wait 3 seconds before kicking the ball. I once picked up a blocked PAT and ran it in for 2 points with my 76 OVR LS, and ended up winning the game 17-16. I wish that happened for people more often.

Timing the kick is the most common reason why they get blocked.

I'm OK with any sort of skill-based system for blocking field goals, either by the failure of the kicking user, or the excellence of the blocking user. As for realism, I can't say for sure, but I feel like most of the blocks I've seen in the NFL come off the wing and not via the A-gap as so frequently happens in Madden.

I've gotten this in my favor on accident just calling 3-4 odd pinch buck 0. The LG did a pass set backwards and the ball bounced off the back of his head. Crazy work by EA, can't even get the line to realize theres a difference between a pass block and how they block on field goal attempts

It would be nice to have a flag play feature that recorded essential information on a play so that EA had the 'black box' needed to evaluate obvious glitches.

(Can you imagine getting hit in the back of the head by a kicked football? There is some serious concussion potential there.)

lol there is little to no concussion risk there. That’s what the helmets are for

Not quite how concussions work. Helmets absorb some of the shock, but since your brain floats somewhat inside your cranium, any sudden movement of the head in relation to the body and the snap-back effect of the neck pulling the head back upright can be enough to cause brain-to-skull contact and a concussion. A lot of rear-end vehicle collisions cause concussions in part because the collision wasn't anticipated by the driver of vehicle number one.

I'd rather be able to brace for an impact than get struck in the back of the head while defenseless.
