Honestly I don't know, just seems to work for me.
How many coins do you have?
If you have enough coins
Outside DBS
Sherman -
Slot1- Bottleneck XFactor,
Slot2- Baked on One Step Ahead,
Slot 3- Baked on Zone Hawk
Slot 4- Bench Press
Slot 5- Med Route KO
Slot 6 - Pick Artist
Slot 7- Short Route KO
Dont worry about Deep Route KO...if your pressing and blitzing, your either gonna dominately win press or get torched deep not catch up
Lester Hayes
Slot1- Bottleneck XFactor,
Slot 2- Bench Press
Slot 3- Med Route KO
Slot 4 - Short Route KO
Then Slot DBS
Just anyone with One Step Ahead, Pick Artst, Short Route KO, Mid Route KO
I have a ton of coins so as my Slot DBS, I run TOWens/Carmichael
No X Factors
Slot 3 - Out Way
Slot 4- Pick Artist
Slot 5- Med Route Ko
Slot 6 - Short Route KO
I dont use any tackle supremes/secure tacklers since I have momentum shift to turn off Freight Train

Jim coming through with some red-hot, stellar advice and pro-tips, as per usual. Lovely recommendation. This is the way. Please use this website to help determine what abilities actually function and when: https://mutleaks.github.io/XXVIAbilities/
Best man coverage ability would potentially be Jim's suggestion: One Step Ahead (which is the combination of Inside Shade + Outside Shade) -- often costing upwards of 5AP total, retail.

There is potentially some competing wisdom on how/what/where to run your three X-factor abilities. Personally, i prefer to have them on the D-line, to ensure we're able to generate pressure, even just sending three pass rushers. However, to fully round out your Man coverage situation, using Jim's advice with Bottleneck. There's only a couple (RoH Bottlenecks that actually start ON), but for the next couple/few days, this will be a potentially elite way to completely shut down your opponents. However, be advised that any receivers with their own X-factor abilities (Double Me, RAC `Em Up or Max Security) will all counter the Man Press attempts and potentially insta-win off the snap.
Beyond the improved reaction time (from OSA), the rest of your ability points should probably go towards various Man KOs (Mid, Deep Route KOs), but they can be quite expensive. Perhaps Bench Press will also help tire out the WRs as the game proceeds. But in order of importance:
- improved reaction time-- (OSA, Inside Shade, or Outside Shade (in order of importance)
- Man Press wins -- Bottleneck, maybe Bench Press
- Man KOs -- Mid & Deep first, unless you are exceedingly confident with your Man Press attempts, then perhaps Short Route KO.
Just my two cents. I find running Man to be problematic and ridiculously inconsistent. It'll dominant weaker opponents, especially combined with heavy pressure (such as Mid Blitz) and can absolutely catch your opponent off-guard if they are not anticipating or expecting it, however, with all the abilities currently in-game, it's become trivial to dominant Man and get guys open for huge gains, if not one-play touchdowns. I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum, where i prefer to sit in Zone and bide my time, until I see an opportunity to generate some pressure, from an overload blitz or something of that nature. I mostly play Squads, so my scenarios are potentially different from the majority of players. YMMV, good luck.

Im winning nearly every game in the draft event with heavy man defense out of dollar
DLine - Bennett, Aaron Donald, Haynesworth - Sub in N Suh if i need a 4th DT to stop run (he has inside stuff, secure tackler, DoN)
Sub LBs - Ed Too Tall, Sonny Styles - one covers the RB in case of space and switch/outside RB slants, the other is zoned up middle of the field to cover crossers
Then against Bunch, Ill bring my 1 safety on the non bunch side to try and press/clog all the bunch WRs, then break inside to chase inside WRS
My deep safeties Sean Taylor and Kyle Hamilton will cover against outside corners
Sean Taylor has momentum shift to turn off freight train
.
With bottleneck, I can leave my outside DBs alone, dont need safety help - almost no one is running Double me or Rac Em Up, so bottleneck works great
