Banned

Hello, long time lurker with an issue. My wife and I are in the process of moving into one home together and I have been banned twice in the last 2 weeks. I have 2 separate consoles at two different residences. Is that what is flagging me to get banned? I did notice one time I was accidentally connected to our router that goes through a VPN? Or is that what flagged it? I read the agreement and didn't see anything and the use of VPN's being against ToS policy.

My first account from pre-order early release was an 88 OVR with almost 2 million coins and was banned for coin distribution. I don't farm accounts, have never purchased coins online and only use to casually spend on level packs.

My second account was banned last night, same email for cheating that I started last week after the first ban. That was up to an 88 OVR after heavy grinding and close to a mil coins saved.

All I have been doing is the solo challenges and solo battles. I haven't played one h2h game yet this year.

Why am I continually getting banned? I just enjoy building a team and playing the solo stuff.

Do you flip cards on the companion app?  lot of ppl get unfairy banned because of flipping.  please post the email that you got saying you were banned and others can maybe chime in to help figure out why.

That sucks man. Their entire banning process is outdated and completely ridiculous. 

hope it gets reversed or at least that you find peace in a maddenless life

Thanks for the reply! I only flip cards when I upgrade players and I haven't used the companion app since probably madden 21 maybe? Definitely not at all this year. Here is the email

Thanks man! Me too. I just want to know what I am doing wrong so I can avoid this going forward. I have opened a few cases with EA with the response here...

Oh yikes… yeah this isn’t the normal coin transferring ban email. Usually this only happens if you’re caught DC glitching or something as far as I’ve heard. never saw an email say all madden titles like that before. Even on the permanent ban emails I’ve seen it was only for the current years game

Yeah it sure does. I don't even play h2h right now, nor would I ever know how to/try and DC glitch for that matter. Do you think it's the VPN that caused issues? I was fine grinding all weekend and last night we stayed at the other house and I played for a few hours. As soon as I finish the new solo battles for the day pushing to get to 51 (was almost 49) and get Casper before season 1 ends, suddenly I was kicked out and a msg popped up about permissions, and they banned me again.  I am at a loss.

Sheesh. Sorry man idk anything about vpns. I did however hear before about Ea wrongfully banning people and some got their accounts back after a long grueling saga of dealing with EA(no)Help.

on the bright side… it’s kind of early in the year. If you were able to build your coins/teams as you stated in the OP, you should have no problem catching back up on another new account. or just quit lol 🪦

Yo, just wanted to let you know that I got the same email a few weeks back.

Not sure if it's different for you but even the EA account page doesn't show me a reason for why I got banned, I know that I did not buy coins/use any glitches in H2H ( I had played a grand total of 4 online games at that point) so at the very least I'd like to hear what I was banned for. The only thing I can think of is using the companion app, but even that I don't do excessively. 

Anyways, it's been 20 days and I haven't heard anything from them yet. Maybe just start a new account, it's early in the year and so far 23 has not been a demonstration of competence on EA's part so I wouldn't expect anything from their review

Yeah you would think the second go around grueling grind to almost 50 would deter me from doing it a 3rd time!

U ever get any of those bot games on console pop up for you? I ask because a month ago I got one after speed ripping through strategy packs I made from sets. I opened about 30 really quick n right after a bot game popped up, scared that sh!!t outta me, I immediately solved it n shut my console off for the day. Ea bot detection system is terrible, n I know they wrongfull auto ban accounts all the time.

Yeah I did twice over the weekend and I answered them correctly. Or so I thought.

Oooo ok yeah that's probably it, just getting the bot game could honestly be enough especially if u got it twice whether u solved it correctly or not. Anything that's repetitive can trigger it I'm guessing. I also got it once after playing solos without backing out for about 45-60 min. 

I would logout immediately after solving for 24hrs just to be on the save side.

There may be something here regarding wrongful bans being triggered by playing the game on more than one PS5.

I have also been banned in MUT 23 for ‘cheating’ without breaking TOS (and received exactly the same email from EA as the OP).

I was also banned twice in MUT 22.

The common denominator is that I also have 2 x PS5 and would play the game on both consoles. I am in the military so one console is on base (where I live during the week) and one console is at home (At weekends / leave).

I log in with the same PSN and EA accounts between the two consoles. I have done nothing by way of coin distribution, card flipping, online cheating or glitching to warrant a ban.

In attempting to eliminate other possibilities I don’t believe that it is coincidental that another user with 2 x PS5 has encountered the same problem.

I am conscious that owning two PS5s will be seen as an uncommon and unnecessary (and even ostentatious) situation by some but I am becoming more certain that there is a problem here with  EA’s algorithms / anti-cheat detection being triggered by the game being played by the same account but on more than one console.

I would welcome advice and input from other users here who play the game on more than one console (noting I am ‘next gen’ PS5) and whether you have faced similar issues or been banned for reasons that are not immediately obvious.
