Minus the LTDs, there is huge holes in these 99s still.
Then these OOP cards?
ASS promo is what it needs to be renamed

I wonder outside of very rare cards such as Sonny Styles or event Too Tall, which players will get X Factors as abilities
.
As most promos already get Prelit X Factors and multiple 0AP abilities, the new cards dont really stand out
It is. They also put a long ass animation on the ASA cards that you can't skip.
As bad as it was, Sugar Rush was better.

Honestly looks like worst promo so far
So far it's straight 🗑️
But,, maybe that's part of EA's strat
Roll out some promos that are so ASS everyone's talking about it
Really EA? "Any publicity is good publicity" that's the logic here?
I cannot think of another tangible reason as to why they would roll out something this bad.
Surely they are self-aware enough to know what's good/bad in regard to their product.
Pt 1 was ass last year. Pt 2 they went crazy w abilities.
U need luck in order to upgrade a free player and players don’t even sell for currency. Yea this promo is chalked.

The only cards that stand out are the LTDs.
I wonder if it was intentional to make the Champs mid and the LTDs op to push people to buy the bundles and packs.
With EAs track record I wouldn't be surprised

Incompetence comes to mind.
There is no logical argument that can be made as to why you would focus on the LTD whales over the rest of us, because you can build a promo that makes everyone happy.
Last year, we had Moss CB, Munoz WR, and Sweat at HB for LTDs.
But also,
Larry Allen, Too Tall Jones, Calvin Johnson, Derrick Henry, Deion, Hendricks, Peppers, etc.
We all ate, this year only the Whales eat, and I'm no whale, so f*ck me and all those like me.
I was looking forward to All-Star Athletes, but this release is one I will be ignoring.
Last year, the cards were amazing, and a window to get my lineup competitive again playing like a poor man with Super Bowl and Team Diamonds players, not having enough coins to run NFL Combine players. I built up enough of a coinstack on this one release to fund the acquisition of most of the Theme Team Surge/Rising Stars/Fan Appreciation LTD's as well as Rookie Premiere. But this year...
• There's no coins in building these sets. None. Because...
• The program chemistries are built like the tandem chemistries in Campus Heroes. This is April, man.
• The players themselves are not remotely interesting. I'm still running a 60x TotY lineup with 50x Cowboys and 20x Titans; I made the switch thinking I'd want these All-Star Athletes on my team. Not a single champion or hero improves my team.
At least the CPU Event features half-games, refreshing after the slogs we had with BYOT's difficulty and Sugar Rush's Soggy Breakfast Cereal difficulty. They're still brain rot, but at least I have to do something. At this point, though, I'm going to be putting my controller down on defense.
