Does anyone else find it odd that opponents wont say anything all game long, but then hop on the mic and yell, swear, and insult you?

I can't relate. Someone telling me I'm "b--- made" and F this and F that. This is what I do... 

I calmy reply, "Whatevr you're going through, I'll pray for you." (which i sincerely mean - because who gets so angry at a stranger? prob someone who is hurting)

It's a game. We play for fun. If you play me (justincru - CruNation - ps5) I promise to be a kind person. 

I'm ALL FOR a little trash talk! But when you start calling people "Bi---es and mother f----" with 30 seconds left in the game, its just very odd to me. You didnt say a word all game.

People are all going through things. Bullying strangers to make yourself feel better isn't the way. 

IMO, being a KIND person costs nothing. Its completely cool to talk a little trash, laugh about it ,while wishing each other well. 

Am I alone on this?

Who cares? It's a waste of time to say anything to them. I play with my volume off. I don't give a single damn about my opponents or what they say.

I agree, it is completely wrong.

I also play with my sound off/no mic and don’t acknowledge my opponents,

One day I walked in on my son playing 2K and some grown man was cussing him out and saying everything you could imagine. He didn’t have a headset and I didn’t realize it played through the speakers on 2K.

Im not sure what is up with the people that just play games and swear at their screen the whole game. I agree that they likely have issues.

I never play with volume on so have no idea if people are yelling at me or not 😂

Let me guess you are a RPO spammer, that chews clock from first drive, and possession catch every pass. Toughen up Timmy and stop spamming the same play 30 times.  This post is a soft as hell. Ever been in a Cod or Halo 3 lobby buddy?

So because it happened before, OP is supposed to be ok with it? People like you are the reason videogames fucking suck today. Who calls a post about a videogame "soft" anyway?

Why video games suck today? You must be new here. People been getting shit on in video games since they offered online game play. Stop acting like all of sudden this is a new phenomenon. You would have been in your room in a fetal position in 2005-2007 Halo multiplayer.  Or Cod MW2-MW3 2009-2011.  Be thankful they have all the communication bans, voice recordings, and other community monitoring they have today in games or you'd be screwed.

I think a lot of us were in those Halo/COD lobbies. Its different. You're in a lobby with a lot of other people. Everyone is talking sh*t. 

Madden is 1v1. Its more personal. 

Just take one second and think to yourself, would you tell someone who is suicidal to go k*ll themselves over a video game? What if someone said that to someone you cared about? What if someone said that to your brother or son and they became depressed over it? You don't know what people are really going through. It really does puts things into perspective.

Even worse, some people will be quiet all game afraid to talk...then get bailed out for some DDA luck win...and message you after with some lame PG13 insults

1. I know you've heard way worse in those lobbies. 

2.Why do you guys take a game of madden so personal. 

3. My idea of smack talk is only focused on the gameplay only.  You went to another extreme with the KYS talk.  

4. People need to unplug from online gaming and take a break.  Some of you view this world as the be all end all of your life. That's not healthy in itself.
