Can’t get to 50/50 with the cowboys and think that there are better current players out besides the ones that are receiving the boosts. It’s also a ton of coins wrapped up in 3 cards.

Nah i dumped mine yesterday since they are back high in price and made some coin. Ill wait to buy back. Most feared around the corner.

i just picked up Surtain and Micah. pulled Saquon from the 84-85 set so thought why not
should i sell off?

Whaaat, yes yer crazy. Unless yer just punting in hopes of buying back when the price goes down. Even if yer just using two of them, still a ton of value for that additional +1 SPD, not to mention they work on literally any theme team. YMMV, but i couldn't imagine playing right now without full Crystal theme team.
I noticed some folks trying to revert back to hybrid 20/60 + 20/60 or whatever, but +3 SPD is kind of a big deal.
I cannot confirm, nor deny, but i just heard that in Squads play, the theme team boosts actually stack. So there is potential value in running matching theme teams. Trying to actually find out, but sounds plausible enough.

Running only 2 of them doesn’t help. You need all 3 to get the extra +1 speed.

Because 50/50 Cowboys without all of the LTD's is a terrible lineup. Too many holes. I moved on to the 49ers, who have fewer holes in the lineup.

This years game seems to be all about speed and not that much else as far as I can tell.

I can get there obviously, but I value certain positions like DT and I thought o-line. I am beginning to think that line still doesn’t matter at all though.
If you go 50/50, not a lot of room to add anyone outside of theme team players.

Yep and I have all the limiteds minus Cooper, and Dak.
Had Dak but pulled BND Fields a week or 2 ago.

I did just the opposite. I had 25 Raiders and full 30/30 Game Time. Sold off the Game Time players so that I could get to 50/50. I sold Fields and built full Cam Ward. My O-line is a little weaker, but I have TONS of speed everywhere. My team is now lights out!! Safeties with 89 and 90 speed. RB 89 speed. WR's 90 and 3 89 speed.

I thought the crystal players were the only way to get 50/50 theme team? I remember someone telling me that the crystal players were worth it if running a theme team

There are absolutely no issues in getting 50/50 with any team, even without Crystal players. There are 53 spots in the lineup that contribute to your primary chemistry, and with the Uncommon Team Affinity item and the appropriate Team Builders, in most cases you’ll have room to accommodate six non-primary chemistry players to plug up the holes. (This is why with a few teams you could run 50/50 team chem lineups with a 20/20 Game Time boost, which now matters less without the +1 SPD.)
But getting a cumulative +3 SPD for including all three Crystal players is a no-brainer if you can afford it.
