There are lots of situations in life where you need to put your feelings in your pocket. If you're representing an entity, and both NFL teams and the NFL itself are entities, you have to accept that they wish to be represented in a particular way, and Kluwe disregarded that. I probably came off as sounding like a quarterback can talk, but a punter can't, and that's really not what I meant. What I did mean was that in the NFL, a punter is relatively easy to replace, whereas a quality franchise quarterback is not. Since Kaepernick was not a quality franchise quarterback, his opinions weren't tolerated.
