After Jan 9th?!

So I'm contemplating getting out of the sweaty fever dream that is zero chill and only keeping the cards that make sense for my theme team. 

But before I get rid of those random cards that boost all of the holiday players, is there any real benefit to keeping any of them after January 9th?

I know some of the stocking stuffers still have a single motivator, but other than that, is there anything I'm missing before I get rid of all of these non-themed team cards?

Aside from grinding ranked or h2h szns, I can identify no benefit. And draft is more lucrative than szns so….

I'm terrible at the draft. I don't know what it is but I just get paired with nothing but people that run glitchy trick plays.  Lolol

I've already finished my champion grind. Thinking of selling off all of these LTDs I'm already sitting on 10 mil. I'm pretty sure if I get rid of all the zero chill players, I'll only drop from a 95 overall to a 94 overall. 

Thinking of spending the rest of the season. Just enjoying casual games and not caring about anything LOL 

Already maxed out my field pass because I used some extra points earlier

Check the draft tip posts, I’ve won 16 runs after reading. Run cover 4 with your stars in blue zones, then on offense get 3 fast wr/te and just hit the streak that is covered by non-stars. It’s brain dead and sometimes you play opponents that force adjustment, but you can get 5 wins in an hour forcing quits like this

I think people are over reacting a little, once boosts go, a lot of ZC players are still viable. There is a lot of fast and tall guys that would be great even if they had normal AP buckets and their usual stats.

I would just get rid of the sub par ZC guys who have average base stats. all the 95 speed guys are going to still play top tier

I feel you. I'm keeping all of the zero chill and ghost players that fit my theme team

sold all my zc/ghost players back besides hester because i still need an outside corner. plan on scooping em back once 94s push the price down. 

got the champ 3 only to realize they patched the leaderboard so no point in sweating it out

Yup , same strategy. I feel like certain guys with speed will hold value . Calvin with 95 speed and that size and spc should be fine . I run commanders TT so Krause will stay around and still have 95 speed after Jan 9  and Shaun Alexander as well . Jevon Kearse will still have elite speed for a DE . 
 

What is need to figure out eventually is what to do with Josh Allen . If his price goes up , I might sell him .

Agree they'll be viable, but if you want a top-tier team built for seal clubbing we will most likely be looking at upgrading to a 22-person Playoff team in order to maximize ability stock.

have to see what sort of stack he gets post zero chill. i doubt these guys don’t keep some discounted abilities, not 0AP, but some like gunslinger for 2 or 3AP

I’m expecting Zero Chill items to flood the market the weekend before January 9, 2024, so don’t hold them too long. I haven’t seen anything yet about whether any Zero Chill/Ghosts of MUT items will have ability that rise in AP to a discounted rate.

I’m also anticipating erratic fluctuations in Football Is Family and Legends over the next two weeks. It’s a great time for me to have sold my team. I’m sitting on 16 million coins right now - more than double what I had two weeks ago - and for a team only 1 OVR weaker (but admittedly non-competitive in the current Head-to-Head Zero Skill program environment).

first yr of mut so im not sure what the promos ahead will look like/play like but as stated above, im almost sure you should sell your team couple days before and reevaluate/rebuy after. market has not been kind to anyone holding cards really outside of rare LTDs out of packs the entire year

the fact you can still open presents and get player presents is weird as its almost new years now and just keeps adding to prices being suppressed despite EA pushing plat offers with things still at floor prices

Yeah I agree , the AP cost will make the difference. I’m hoping as an LTD , he gets 2 GS AP like Lamar , Mcnabb and many others already have it at 3 . 
 

As far as his release , it’s hard to tell as ive been using  him with GS . Previous to ZC I was running captain Luck with Quickdraw and GW and he got the job done . Release was good enough , but not as god as the Jordan Love I ran earlier this year . Jordan Love had IMO the best release I used this year . 
 

one thing ZC has done is open my eyes to HRM , I might prefer that to GS now with all the audibles and hot routes Ive been running now . Having the ability to call deep cross , zigs and Texas on all my receivers has been awesome .
