I’m 13 and tore my articular cartilage in football and am about to have surgery tomorrow. I’m lowk nervous asl can anyone tell me what its like. My dad told me that it’s fine but like he’s not gonna say it’s bad even if it is

I can promise you $1,000,000,000 you will not experience or a remember a single second of it, you will fall asleep in a hospitial bed in a prep area and wake up on the other side none-the-wiser

Had my leg amputated below knee a few years ago...I promise you it will be fine...they will prep you and have you take a few deep breath...then you'll feel a warm fluid go thru your iv and you'll wake up thirsty after what feels like the best sleep ever

Thanks bro that’s what my dad said and it makes it better hearing from people who would have less motivation to say sum nice and just be honest. Idk I just felt kinda like my dad might’ve been tryna say sum to make me less nervous and not the actual thing

It's cool that you're able to share your feelings! Keep up the good work bro. I have had two surgeries, one minor, one kinda major on my abdomen. You just go to sleep. They've got a pro in the room to ensure that you stay asleep. 

Prayers for a quick recovery bro.
