Why are the Tier 1 Abilities so Useless?

I'm talking about second wind, homer, indoor baller, etc. These abilities always cost 1 AP and do basically nothing when it comes to actually impact the game, every single one of them is ranked Bronze on the Huddle.gg ability tierlist.

There not completely useless. You have to pair them with something that makes sense. For example I’ve use 2 of them quite often ENERGIZER paired with bulldozer when I feel like running. Gives you full stamina after a truck, juke or stuff arm. My user combo was usually HOMER with selfless on Bam Bam with enforcer. I’m pretty good at hit sticking so I usually get both my fear monger DE’s in the zone by 3rd quarter. It’s a pretty crazy set up A. Donald DON and Refrigerator Perry DON wrecking havoc lol
