Can’t stop throwing pics

i just started playing madden again after a 4 year break from it.  And I’ve always considered myself good but man.  Everything I throw is a pic I will lead it I will high throw it I will lob it doesn’t seem to matter what I do.  is there a certain way I’m missing here.

I had almost 10 year break but after couple months I now win around 70% of my games which is a lot more than I thought. 

Try to play conservative and take your time with passing. Take what defence gives you. Since most play cover 4 or heavy blitz from press man I have had success just to throw 5-15 yards. Usually some underneath routes are wide open unless player is very good with user (or excellent man coverage team that can match your receivers). That way I avoid INTs and sacks. Of course I mix some deep throws but not by force. I also rather take a sack or throw it away than force a pass.

Know your playbook and choose around 20-30 plays from there that you know with your eyes closed. I have around 3-7 plays for every yardage  (short, mid and deep) and goalline stuff separated etc. Every play I choose has at least 3 routes that I have an option to choose. I don't have enough skills to look all 4-5 routes but you need to have options. Often you see that some players have chosen where to throw before the play even starts and that will lead to picks when you are facing better players.

Good advice brother.  Like you as well I’ve been playing since 89 stopped playing in 2021 n just started again n its been ya know.  Any playbook you recommend I used to rock with patriots playbook on d n offense.  But feel like can’t keep up with all these trick plays etc.

I started in 1991. Before that I didn't even know what this was sport was all about (I'm from Europe). For some reason it was Eagles all the way and no turning back. :)

I'm not an playbook expert. Because my team is Eagles I use their offense which has good plays at least for me. From here I have read that Patriots, Vikings might be the best D books. I use Patriots and I mainly run Nickel 3-3 Odd and 95% zone coverage. I would like to play man and mix more at defence schemes but everytime I get buried bad when trying. I don't blitz. Only 3-4 man fronts. I hope opponent throws a pick which happens quite often. Defending is too hard especially if you don't run those cheat plays. I try to avoid all stupid nonsense like loop blitzes. This is just a video game so no need to try to cheat. 

Trick plays and those idiots who just run couple of plays ruin this game sometimes. I usually just quit the game fast especially if it's H2H ranked or some H2H mode which is at early stages. Life is too short. Also if I face some kid with ZC stadium I just quit before the first play. I'm not playing a game with skates on. So stupid.
