The 5th Season of MUT 25, called Path to Victory, begins on Wednesday, January 8th at 10:30am ET and runs until February 19th. Season 5 includes a new Field Pass full of rewards, including new player rewards that can be upgraded to 96 OVR throughout the season. The new reward players are Drew Brees, Joe Thuney, Julian Edelman, Charles Haley, and Charles Woodson.

Season 5 Title Update
- A total of 800+ adjustments have been made to playbooks for Season 5, including new formations and plays.
- Falcons receive new Gun Bunch and Pistol formations
- PA Post Shot, post shot route is now stemmable
- New boomerang and motion plays allow receivers to motion and run a route back to the side they started
- EA stated the new patch focuses on balance between offense and defense
- More realistic catch physics on INTs
- The example EA provided was a safety catching a seam pass and making incidental contact with the WR on the way down. Previously, this interaction would result in a drop more than it should since the impact was not substantial. The safety should hold onto the ball more often in this interaction in Season 5.
- Due to overpowered high-ball throws, EA has increased the likelihood of an inaccurate throw.
- Superman dives will no longer trigger when conservative ballcarrier settings are enabled.
- Hitting a player immediately after they catch a pass will result in more KOs in Season 5.

Season 5 Reward Players
The following Season 5 players begin at 88 OVR and can be upgraded using Upgrade Tokens earned by leveling up the Season 5 Field Pass or with Upgrade Tokens found in the Ticket Store. S5 Player choice packs are available at levels 1, 6, 16, 26, and 36. S5 Upgrade Tokens are available at levels 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50.
