Our friends at Huddle.gg have started a new weekly contest on Tuesday nights called "Play a Pro", where community members play against some of Madden's top players for a chance to win their choice of any Non-LTD/Ranked MUT player in the game! The event is broadcast on Twitch and open for participation to players of all skill levels.
To help level the playing field, the featured pro will spin a wheel to determine their equalizer for the game. For example, maybe the pro is forced to use a 75 OVR QB, or maybe they can only kick field goals on offense. If nobody defeats the pro in 3 games, a random viewer will take home the MUT player prize! So, even if you don't plan on playing, you can still win just by watching!
Check out all of the details, along with a recap from Week 1, below:
When and Where
When: Tuesday Nights at 8pm ET
Where: twitch.tv/huddlegg
Will There Be Drops?
Yes. EA provides Twitch Drops for most Huddle streams on Tuesdays.
Weekly MUT Player Prize
The first player to defeat the featured pro each week will win their choice of any Non-LTD/Ranked player in MUT. If the pro goes 3-0, all active viewers in Twitch chat will be entered into a drawing with 1 lucky winner receiving the prize. Items are granted as BND by EA, typically the following week.
How to Participate
All you have to do for a chance to play is show up on Tuesday Nights and post in chat before each game. Nightbot will randomly select an opponent for the pro, who will then spin the Wheel of Equalizers to determine the twist before sending an invite.
Wheel of Equalizers
Before each game, the featured pro will spin a wheel to determine their equalizer for that game. If the pro wins the first game, they will spin the wheel again before game 2 and add a 2nd equalizer. If the pro wins game 2, they will spin again and add a 3rd equalizer for the final game. Here are just a few examples of what you might see on the wheel:
- Opponent selects pro's playbooks
- Must punt on 3rd Down
- Can't use Abilities
- No pre-snap adjustments allowed
- Must use Coach Suggestions
- Blindfold every 2nd Down
Do you have any fun ideas for the wheel? Stop by on Tuesdays or leave your suggestion in the comments of this article!

Week 1 Recap
Game 1
The night kicked off with the first contestant from chat, coachpluggedin. The Wheel of Equalizers landed on "76 and Under QB", which Pihcam opted to use Anthony Richardson for their game. Led by a tough defense and short passes on offense due to his passing equalizer, Pihcam was able to end the game at halftime with a win. Coach's ultimate team was pretty new, so he was playing with an equalizer of his own. Coach did provide an entertaining 99-yard TD. If you'd like to see a clip, click here.
Game 2
Contestant #2 from Twitch chat was jamesjse91, and Pihcam's new equalizer from the wheel, added to his last one with Anthony Richardson at QB, was to set the controller down on defense after the ball was snapped. James was able to put 14 points on the board against defensive coordinator Pihcam, but Pihcam's pre-play adjustments on defense and effective offense led by 76 Anthony Richardson were still too much. The game ended at halftime with Pihcam up 14 and about to receive the ball.

Game 3
The final game of the night would determine whether the card prize would go to a challenger or the winner of a Twitch chat drawing, so chat was mostly on Pihcam's side. Krazylegz_22 was up next, and The Wheel of Equalizers landed on "Only Run 1 Formation on Offense" for Pihcam. The final equalizer, along with the first 2, would prove to be too much in the end for Pihcam after a back-and-forth battle. Congratulations to Krazylegz_22, who came out on top 45-38 and secured his choice of any Non-LTD player in the game, which was 98 OVR MIKE Calvin Johnson.
