The cover athlete for Madden NFL 26 was revealed today by EA Sports as Philadelphia Eagles HB Saquon Barkley! After proving his value on the market after the 2023 season as the New York Giants suggested, Saquon Barkley also proved it on the field during 2024 with the Philadelphia Eagles. In his debut season with his new team, Barkley put up monster numbers to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award, and more importantly, helped lead the Eagles to victory in Super Bowl LIX.
The standard version of Madden NFL 26 will feature Saquon Barkley's famous backward-jump-hurdle move from his game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9 of the 2024 season. If you were paying attention to social media when it happened, Twitter was already nominating it for the cover of next year's game.
