#1 - How do you like to stop "whips" from Gun Bunch TE?
Answer:
“Whips” out of Gun Bunch TE is tricky because you’re defending two whip routes to the flats while a post typically cuts through the middle, stretching your defense and forcing your user into a tough spot.
We like to counter it in two ways. When we're confident "Whips" is coming, we go aggressive. If we're not as confident about which play is coming, we'll switch to a safer, more balanced look.
In both cases, the key is our zone‑drop settings (hooks on 5) and knowing where to be with your user. Check the video for the exact adjustments and user positioning that shuts "Whips" down, whether your opponent spams it or just mixes it in.
#2 - How do you like to block Mid Blitz using your Running Back?
Answer:
Mid Blitz has been a go‑to defense for years because it brings quick heat from different areas of the field. If you don’t have a plan to block it, your offense is in for a long day.
The key to shutting it down with your running back is knowing where the opponent’s user is lined up and adjusting accordingly to the following three instances:
- If the user drops back into coverage.
- If the user is mugging the middle of the line.
- If the user hovers over the tackle on your halfback’s side.
The goal of each setup is to have your O‑line ignore the user and let the halfback pick up the sixth rusher the protection scheme would otherwise miss.
Watch the video for the exact setup for all three scenarios, and you’ll turn "Mid Blitz" into a non‑issue.
#3 - Is there a blitz you like out of the 4-3 Over formation?
Answer:
For this question, we're going to go back to Antcap’s New Orleans Saints defensive gameplan from last year. The setup we're talking about works exactly the same as it was designed last season.
- Settings: Auto‑Flip OFF, Alignment on Base.
- Play Call: Select Tampa 2 and flip it at the play‑call screen.
- Adjustments:
• Blitz the middle linebacker and walk him down until the green bar indicators appear.
• Switch to the right-of-screen linebacker (your user) and hover over the right‑side B‑gap
or just above the RT until you see the same green bars.
That’s it. The MLB runs straight through the A‑gap for instant pressure, while the Tampa 2 shell keeps your coverage sound on the back end.
Watch the video for the exact positioning and start getting quick pressure out of the 4-3 Over formation.
#4 - How do you like to defend the U-Trips formation?
Answer:
Defending U‑Trips really depends on the routes your opponent calls, but one look we love against one of its staple plays—Y Option Wheel—is a Cover 3 Buzz shell. The match principles in Buzz immediately shut down the primary threats: the two hook curls and seam flats do a tremendous job at matching the routes your opponent wants to attack with in this offense. To mix it up and tighten the coverage even more, we'll sometimes drop the solo‑side corner into a deep half, giving the offense a completely different post‑snap picture without changing a lot on the defensive side of the ball. Check the video to see the match rules in action and to learn the area where this setup can be vulnerable—and how to patch that up.
