#1 - Unstoppable Force vs Colossus. Which is better?
Answer:
Colossus and Unstoppable Force are both great abilities for creating an organic pass rush on the defensive line and getting quick pressure on the quarterback.
When facing one-on-one blocks, they're essentially the same ability, where both give you a consistent shot at quick wins. The key difference shows up when you're dealing with double teams. Colossus can dominate double teams, while Unstoppable Force struggles in those situations.
So if you're looking for the best ability, Colossus is the answer. With that being said, Unstoppable Force can be just as good, especially when you're able to create one-on-one blocking scenarios.
#2 - How do you like to block DB Fire 2?
Answer:
DB Fire 2 might not be the most popular blitz this year, but it’s still dangerous — and it’s been a staple of high-level Madden for years.
What makes it so tough to block is the wide alignment of the defensive ends and slot corners. That spacing puts major stress on your guards and tackles, making it hard for them to slide out and pick up the pressure in time.
But don’t worry — there are ways to lock it down. In this video, we break down two blocking setups that consistently neutralize DB Fire:
- One that uses just your offensive line
- One that adds a running back to your protection scheme
Watch the full breakdown and stop getting screamed at by DB Fire 2.
#3 - What's the difference in Flat Zones?
Answer:
Understanding how flat zones work is crucial if you want to build a defense that stops what your opponent is doing.
The three most common flat zones you'll use on your outside corners are Hard Flats, Cloud Flats, and Soft Squats — and while they may look similar, each one has very different responsibilities.
Knowing when and why to use each zone can be the difference between getting a stop and giving up a big play.
In this video, we break down the core purpose of each zone and show you exactly how to use them to your advantage.
#4 - Can you block the disengage blitz with just the offensive line?
Answer:
The short answer: not really.
There are a few tricks people try, but none of them consistently shut it down — and if you’re still watching every snap to see if the blitz comes in, your protection isn’t doing its job.
When we teach blitz pickup, we want setups you can trust. In this video, we break down exactly why the guard disengage blitz is so effective — and show you the most reliable way to block it using your running back.
