Hit Stick/Big tackle

Any advice on how to get a hit stick or big tackle?

If you can allow 5-10 yards, than go into the defensive formation prevent (in every playbook) and pick the play prevent, and then give cushion. They should either run and throw underneath then just tilt your Right stick forward to hit stick tackle

I was putting my defensive assignments on aggressive tackle. I’ve been doing it all year so far but during those Blitz ones that needed it I found the CPU weren’t doing it at all even on aggressive. Took a bit longer than usual for me this time around unless I user Hit Sticked.

What I usually do is put tacking on aggressive, allow the type of cushion mentioned above, and make sure I'm holding L2 (on PlayStation) so I'm lined up with the player I'm about to hitstick, and hope for the best.  I don't know why but strafing before I tackle seems to trigger more hitsticks.

I was stuck on this for a long while, I'm not very good at hit stick.  I found by going into a punt formation and usering the deep man, I was able to get the hit stick.  Wish I thought of this sooner!  LOL

if you can blitz run plays - especially straight up the middle - your linebacker will fly in and all you got to do is move the stick towards the ball carrier

another way i get them is playing soft zone - like dime will cover 2 or tampa 2

allow the qb to complete a 5-10 yard pass in the flats, or dead center of the field then take control of a player that has a free run at the receiver - just push the stick towards him and all should be good
