I have Jason Taylor, Aaron Donald, Parsons, Merlin Olsen, Seymour, and Fridge. What would the ideal setup and abilties to run in 4 linemen sets?

The general consensus on here would say Olsen and Donald at DE both with Edge Threat and Double or Nothing. Seymour and Fridge at DT, Seymour with 0AP Defensive Rally and Fridge with Inside Stuff. In a 4 linemen set you don’t need the other 2 guys so sell them or rotate them in if you want.

Defensive rally, edge threat, double or nothing. maximum combination of those.

If you really want my Dline advice, here’s what I got. (A strong D line is the Foundation of my whole team).

1) Have all your D linemen be Legends. You only need 5 Legends to get +1 strength, so your whole Dline will be +1 strength, which is huge.
2) Have both ends have Edge Threat. This will mainly activate when the QB rolls out of the pocket, the DE’s will get off their block and set an impenetrable edge. they’re locked in that pocket.
3) Have one guy on the line with Defensive Rally. This will help those edge rushers get pressure on 3/4th down.

with this setup, their Oline will usually have to double someone, so all you need to blitz now is 1 guy since their 5 lineman are now occupied (if you’re running 4–3)

this is the setup I run that allows for the widest versatility and impact imo since you still have space for abilities at other positions. I take it a step further and add the strategy item that gives +3 block shedding to your Dline because I just believe that constant pressure is invaluable. then you can throw short route KO on your corners and they’re just fucked. They dont have a lot of time in the pocket and they’ll struggle with short passes. They’ll get well accquainted with the taste of grass
