Hi all,
I've been thinking about upgrading my SS from Steve Atwater to Kam Chancellor (mainly due to the 90 zone) but I noticed he has slightly lower play recognition/awareness. Does he play well with the CPU controlling him?

play recognition/ awareness do impact when the CPU controls a player but since kam's play rec and awareness are only lower by 2 you won't notice a difference

Definitely. How valuable awareness/play rec has been a question for me for years. Never really knew how valuable it was but it seemed like it did make a difference on higher overall cards.

its really only valuable for zone coverage and defending the run. also the only time you notice a difference is between 80 awareness and 90. as in madden, 90 is a threshold for man, zone, play rec, route running basically everything but speed

Thank you. I remember 91 zone being a threshold back in Madden 18 and MUT Leaks releasing thresholds for Madden games after that (the 90 threshold you mentioned) but wasn't sure if they still applied to these games.

so now you know if you run a zone scheme find CB and FS/SS with 90 zone if you run man find DB's with 90 man. glad i could help you good sir
