But isn't the sun tangible? I mean, just because you shouldn't touch something doesn't mean it's impossible to do so. The trick is to achieve physical contact before vaporizing. While inadvisable, I think the technology facilitating this already exists.

As a technical matter (since we're being "technical"), I just have to get the container protecting the sacrificial "sun-toucher" to the sun before the container or the sun-toucher vaporizes. Once the sun was reached, the sun's plasma would be aerated and then injected into the container, driving particles into the sun-toucher to achieve the challenge.
This is one of the most ridiculous things I've pondered in recent memory.
