As if defense in this game wasn't already dumb enough, in the last week I am getting roasted on bombs to receivers who are COMPLETELY COVERED. The receivers make easy catches while my 99 DBs make no play on the ball or the receivers. These are not elite receivers, either. The last one was to Dickerson!
The completion rate on these against me over the past week is +90%.
Has anyone else noticed this change, or can anyone explain what's going on?

Thanks, though I don't understand how my skills could have suddenly fallen off so sharply in the last week to prompt this abrupt change in gameplay.

Not at all. Maybe it's the 6'10" receivers against short cornerbacks. That's my guess.
You may be going against guys that are running height boosters on guys like Harold Carmichael. I'm running height boosts on my team, and the shortest guy in my secondary is Herb Adderley in the slot at 6'2". Moss is 6'6", and Owens and Hamilton are 6'5". No one is throwing toward 6'10" Ed Too Tall Jones.
We probably need to know your lineup before we get into scheme.
